Like a lot of people has stated, I've left the keys in mine. I have been lucky. I don't think that I would park my bike in my house though.

The state of your house is the state of your mind!

Nope me too. I live downtown and park mine outside... One night i left the keys in it for like 5 hours... I only realised when i was searching around for my keys so i could go ride the bike... And i was like "OH CRAP!" Ran downstairs and unsurprisingly it was still there haha. Thats the worst part about having swipe cards at my apartment though... at work my pass card is on my keys, so i can only ever make it as far as the door before i realise i left my keys in the bike.

I've left the keys in mines many times and had people walking by notice it and report it to my workplace. That's how damn ugly my bike is.

edit: just had my driveway blackened so I'm constantly looking out my bedroom window to make sure my bike is still there lol

I have 2 bikes in one of the bedrooms and 1 in dining room
in winter 3 of them in 1 bedroom
it does not *****, you do not have to feed it, or go to walk it, or to veterinarian
drain the carbs, drain steel tank and poor oil in for winter, wash it with gas in spring

Actually, I road shotgun once for some "connected" people. We didn't realize once we reached our destination, that I could have been spotted as a runner. The HA use a sport bike amongst them to carry their, let's just say, stuff they shouldn't have. Should the cops bug them, the sport bike bolts. These days tho, they just use cages. The traditional motorcycle gang has gone underground.

Dude i love waterbeds. I had one when i was a teenager but when i moved out i could never find an apartment thatd let me use it without buying ridiculously expensive insurance. I've never been able to sleep comfortably on a normal bed since then either, waterbeds ruin me I can sleep for like 15 hours every night in a waterbed lol. Im lucky if i can sleep for 4 hours without waking up on a normal bed, it sucks.

I was thinking the same thing, my cousin's $600 bicycle was chained with a $100 tough chain and they simply took the 2 nuts off his front wheel and left the wheel chained to the chain, the bozo should had chained the bike from the frame

I have been trying unsuccesfully so far to convince my wife to let my 2 bikes come in the house for the winter; but no luck. I will have to insulate my garage and install a heater before the fall is over...
I'm married and my wife always nags me to take it outside because the gas fumes are "bad" for the kids but sincerely I don't smell the gas fumes if I let the bike cool down for 3 hours outside, we smell gas fumes when we drive and when we fill up with gas, there's no reason to worry.

A $300 Titanium chain or any lock is no deterent for a thief with the right tools. A good cordless skilsaw with a metal cutting blade will slice right thru no problem.
Theres not much you can do.

Of course any chain can be defeated with the right tools. However, just because a chain or lock can be defeated doesnt mean its not a deterrent. Why would a thief spend more time and subject themself to more risk by cutting a chain when they can EASILY find another bike (probably in the same parking lot) that isnt chained up or doesnt have an alarm? Sounds like a deterrent to me.

I was wondering the same thing - you have a dual-sport, USE IT!

Do you carry the plank with you for offroad trails too, and use it whenever you come to a log???
