Can you please stop reminding me just how much this hobby cost... I count it all up at the end of the season, last year was ridiculous and this year is not far off! Get to test out my new pair of $500 boots tomorrow!

Yes that part is great. Having my wife at the track riding or cheering me on at a Race weekend is fantastic.

What's the deal with the 30K track bike? You win the Lotto? For 30K I could get 2 factory 600's in October.....

it is awesome having the family with you at the track. I even got to have my wife and Dan's girlfriend undress me after my crash in round 3. Almost good enough to make me forget about the pain of a broken bone

NO, i'll keep reminding you! nyuk nyuk nyuk!

I think i dropped between $4000 and $5000 on miscellaneous stuff last winter.

    Ghey.

Barring any major disaster, i should be able to get away without spending much this winter.

But in all fairness: it was a stunt bike waaaaaaaaaay before it was ever "track bike". You make it sound like you've been at it for years

But yes: you can find a good track bike with upgraded shocks, tires, bodywork and possibly spares in the $4000-$5000 range
Do you even know what bike he tracks? Or the list of components thats been added?

    I do.

I'm trying to figure out what in all adds up to $18,000 or so in upgrades. Unless he's including labour in that value.

The bike came with the Ohlins damper and the Braking wheel set was the Kawi trackday promo.

Those brakes are fun tho! I'd like to give them a try.

The stock Ohlins damper sucks as it's not the same as OEM and doesn't have the same adjustability range, pretty sure that's been replaced. No way in hell he got rims form Kawi, come to think of it I think I remeber him says he got the full exhaust system included, so take that out the total.

Point being this stuff does really add up quick.

I'm pretty sure he had the rims on order before he knew about the promo, and he binned the OEM Ohlins one.

I guess all that typing was a lot of work eh?

Not that it really matters, but the point of my question was where does the $30G figure come from. One of the big ticket items (maybe the exhaust or wheel set) came from the Kawi promo so it was free.

    Thanks for the attitude champ.
