I have a Canon The darknened corners comes from postprocessing, it's called vignetting. Some times I go a little overboard on them.

What's with the Nikon cameras and having darkened corners? You didn't edit it that way did you?

Its not the camera thats doing it, its the lens. What you're seeing is the aperture ring (it shows up with some lenses at higher F stops - in other words when the hole you're shooting through is smaller the edges can show up on your shot sometimes.) Cool effect, I actually artificially add it to my shots after the fact some times:



ps: did you happen to get any shots of me on this green kawi? I was going ultra slow so probably an easy target

I didn't think you post processed cause then you would have sharpened your pics too right? lol I like it though, I need photoshop, then I'll play around with that as well.

Your pic to me is showing a red x, what kind of kawi were you on? What color of tape? The only slow one was a 03/04 green one...lol.

I just started using lightroom - its great but there is definitely a learning curve. Photoshop + Nik software is super easy to use with awesome results but $$$!

Your pic to me is showing a red x, what kind of kawi were you on? What color of tape? The only slow one was a 03/04 green one...lol.

slow 04 green kawi - yep, sounds like me! I had the "A" taped on the front and that awesome florescent ductape on my back.

Darkened corners? Nikons are better for sports :P j/k,

Great shots none the less, you should try panning while shooting you can get that result as if they were moving fast, here are some of my shots from mosport:









Yea they were going way faster but i've taken shots of bicyclist with the same affect!
