so as some might know i was in a bike accident a month ago and i am recovering now. well its the first time i can sit at my desktop and not the laptop so i can finally upload some pics because i know how much you people like pics. unfortunately there isnt many bike pics they didnt turn out. damage to the bike was heavy though, cracked frame in a couple places bent forks into the headers, cracked fairings, dented wheel, clip-ons bent, engine mount busted and popped up a couple inches. sucks because i put so many new parts on it this spring. the womans car was written off i took out the side windows and left a hefty dent in the side of it, but the old lady didnt even know she hit me! so she took off, thanks to the guy who followed her, was able to catch the lady (81).
i had to have knee surgery to wire my knee back together, my knee separated one side up my leg the other down my leg so i had to be put asleep so they could bend my leg straight again. after a month now i am doing very well. i have had 3 sessions of physio so far to get this leg working again, the knee doesnt really hurt anymore but my muscles are about half the size of my other leg and my ligaments and what not are all froze up so its slow and steady until i can bend it again.
enough with the babling here are some pics.
some bike damage really the only pic of damage.
my knee the day of surgery when it was bent back into place since they couldnt get a proper xray when my leg was bent.
my knee a week after my surgery all put back together again.
1 week after accident getting the dressing removed so they could check it out.
same day i got my dressings off and bandage changed. this my friends is my memory picture of my 23rd birthday june 11th 6 days after my accident.
a week after my bday...getting these god damn staples out.
as of today this is what it looks like, still some bruising and its still swollen a little bit and stiff but with my exercises from physio i should be walking in about a month and then with some more effort i should be back to work in September.
it sucks my season was cut short a day before my vacation (a week camping) nice way to spend your birthday haha. but i guess its better then my life i will live to ride another day. i will get a new bike in the winter/spring so i will be back on the road next year. realistically i could ride for a bit this year but i am thinking i will let my knee heal real good so i can snowboard this season.
safe riding to everyone.
holy crap, man!!!!
That sux big time, wish you a speedy recovery!

Lemme get this straight, is this the same bike that got graffiti painted?
Now you get whacked out by a little old lady?
I think we need to organize a "good luck" party for you brother!!
Let us know what you need man!
Want me to mail you a french crossword book?

thanks guys i am doing good got lots of great people around me havnt been down yet gotta keep the head high helps with healing...i believe anyways.
i should have taken a hint when the bike got painted pink that it was over between us lol.
Glad to see you are mending well, I think the waiting till next year and get in some snowboarding is a good idea.
I don't know about the rest of the members here, but i'm as broke as hell and i'm willing to fork over at least 10$ to help you out.
It adds up fast, the people i ride with all jump to attention when it's time to help a fellow rider.
After getting violated by vandals and cleaned out by the old koot, you certainly top my list of guys that deserve a break.
Do you have a paypal acct? Personal web page?
I think it would be fitting to put a link somewhere for those that can afford to pitch in.
I can't even afford to fix my own bike this summer, but at least my knee isn't wrapped around my neck.
thanks man but there must be someone out there that deserves the money more then i do, i just hate taking money even from my parents plus i have great benefits from work. but believe me when i say i would rather be working lol something i have never said before.
In that case, let me help you pass the time with an invitation to the clubhouse arcade.
I'll make a special exception for you.

REST IN PEACE to my 1992 zx7 the memories remain.
the last 2 years where hard but you live on.
Wow...that was a nice bike too! That sucks
I just can't get over that an 81 year old schmucked ya and didn't notice...!?! I hope they took her license away! Glad to hear you are doing so well though. Personally, I check out pics of accidents often. They're a good reminder of how a moment of stupidity (whether ours, or someone else's) can end a ride...sometimes permanently. Your accident tops my list right now and she definitely gets the 'booby-prize'...
...Then one day you realise your 'knight in shining armour' is just a retard in tinfoil.
Dude... You're wearing crocks... Well, one crock anyway...
Your man-card is revoked.
i was doped up on morphine when they bought them lol, personally i hate them i dont know how people say their comfy, i wear shoes now since my foot isnt swollen anymore lol.
Holy crap man that is some scary stuff, glad to see that your back up and somewhat on your feet, hope your recovery goes well for you

since no one else has said it - your girlfriend is very cute
glad to hear you're healing up
Better to regret something you have done than something you haven't.
Glad you are okay man. Those staples are really good for holding skin together... much better than stitches
Nice scar, I've got a similar one. Enjoy rehab and heal up.
Support your local rehab and hope you never need it.
