thanks for the bike details - I know someone riding up that way today and my heart stopped when I saw this in the Star - not his bike. Prayers are with him, friends and family

Hwy 400 SB just south of King Rd closed. Ambulance left light/sirens so they were still alive. Supposedly air ambulance was coming.
Best wishes to the rider and their family.
It looked like a Metallic Blue Grey Jap cruiser with floorboards and saddlebags.

A Barrie man is in hospital in critical condition after he lost control of his motorcycle and skidded across Hwy. 400.
The 65-year-old man was driving southbound near King Rd. just before 11 a.m. when he crashed, said Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Dave Woodford.
"Traffic had been slowing down through this area and as he came up and lost control and the bike fell," he said.
An emergency helicopter was called but was unable to land, forcing an ambulance to transport the man to Sunnybrook hospital, police said.
All southbound lanes were closed at King Rd., but have since been reopened.
