OK, Rossi has been World champ and Lorenzo has not, so Rossi HAD to go for it, regardless.

In his interview after he looked unusually serious.....was he thinking of how close he got to the edge to make his passes or how he shouldn't have helped with the set-up ??

Awesome race.

Last lap, last turn effort. Solid thinking behind it - if he makes the pass and it sticks, he wins. If he runs wide and gets second, it would be the same result as if he didnt make the effort to pass at all, still second.

A wicked race. I was screaming and yelling with my mouth wide open in awe.


Again, Rossi is the master... I mean... The Doctor.

According to Dr. Costa in FASTER, Rossi's heart rate barely goes over 120 while racing against Biaggy. "he's like a kid in a playground", Costa says....

Anyone ever notice how Rossi looks like he staring right at the ground in front of him while going around a corner? Everyone is looking through the corner, but Rossi's helmet looks like it's pointing 1 m in front of his front tire.

I recall 80bpm, peaking at 120 if there's a problem (like he's about to high side). So his heart is slower than mine while I watch the race.

Anyone ever notice how Rossi looks like he staring right at the ground in front of him while going around a corner? ....

haah I knew sucked! We should chip in for Twist of the Wrist for him.
I'm guessing though that he knows the corners pat and is checking for pavement imperfections??

Also I still wonder how much Rossi holds back. For example, how come when Stoner was the big cheese he's neck and neck with Stoner? Now Stoner runs a few places behind and, again, Rossi's neck and neck with the fastest guy on the track.

When stoner won there was no neck and neck with Rossi, he would normally get the pole and be gone on what most people thought was a superior bike with amazing traction control, Rossi struggled that year trying to make his tires stick. Rossi went on to switch tires the following year and that was the end of stoners dominate start to finish wins 2 years ago. I do think Casey Stoner is a great rider but no man rides like Rossi on the planet for the last decade.

I used to think Stoner was a paper champion like some other riders *cough*Hayden*cough*, but he really impressed me with that 3rd place finish last week.
