1999 CR250R rear shock - which will fit

So im working on my old bike right now, sold it to my cousin last year.
Along with the top end, fork seals, pipe, numerous bearings.......the rear shock top mount is broken and needs to be replaced.

Now I have searched ebay a bit and it shouldn't be too hard to find one. But does anyone one know which years/models are compatible. A lot of the newer shocks don't look much different but i don't want to take a chance buying it and it doesn't work.

Also if anyone knows where i can track one down locally that would be great also.

Not sure which ones are compatible with your bike, I may have an extra left over form a 01'. I will check once I go home at lunch. They never really changed much after the Aluminum frame was used, does your 99 have the alum frame? I think so.......

97+ 250's and 98+ 125 had aluminum frames.

I think the shock from an 01 is the same. Let me know if you find it.

Totally slipped my mind yesterday, lots going on. I will go through my parts when I get home.....anything else you need? I have tons of CR parts!

Nope, I actually don't have any shocks. Sisters boyfriend was re-building a 500 and I think he took em. Need anything else? I found one on Kijiji
