I still like my hjc ac12 carbon fiber better then my arai rx7 . The arai vents alot better , but it is loud at higher speeds. Alomost to loud when u are trying to max out your bike

Love my Shoei RF-1000, vents are great, no noise at all when visor is down, fits my girly cheek bones fantastically, a little shorter in the jaw so I can turn my head better than the other helmets I've had. Absolutely hated the fit and noise of my HJC, like Suomy as well but haven't tried it on for long.

I have a Arai Vector and Shoei RE1000, @ first I got the Shoei which i thought its good enough feel so soft and fit nice and light... than I was @ GPBike, I was this arai vector so i try it out, DAMN! so much different feeling than shoei, with the arai it feel more soft inside and lighter as well, so i guess thats what make it so expensive. but if u think of it this way a helmet will last you 5 yrs, if u dun drop it... than its not that bad after all thats your HEAD!
I found AGV to be the best i've owned by far, worst i found was shark.
Arai, Shoei, Shark, Scorpion, Suomy, AGV all make good helmets. It comes down what fits you best.
ICON Are Crap helmets IMO, The Domain 2 is Noisy and has terrible aerodynamics at high speeds.. But they're probably ok for their Poser Market.
HJC Makes some decent helmets IF they fit your head.
Personally, I've always worn Shoei or Arai.. I've seen Severe hits over the years with those and the riders survived without Brain Injury.
I am leaning towards a Shark RSX or RSR2 for my next helmet .. Most of that is based on the UK SHARP Testing. Whatever I get will be a 5 star SHARP Rated helmet. IMO It's the most real world testing.

i have the Shark RSR 2, check out the reviews on youtube, you won't be disappointed. vents well, VERY light and its vERY quite. Paint job is a hit or miss for you taste.
"i love myself"
I have the Suomy Vandal Actuality. It's a really noisy bucket. I can hear the wind howling when we just start moving. Not sure if all helmets are like this though, as I'm really new.
Im going to buy a new lid tommorow but cant afford shoei or arai and shark just doesnt fit my head shape. i think i may lean towards the fs-10 or is-16 Hjc or maybe even a kbc. I know the hjc fits my head shape and so does the scorpion but it feels heavy on my head.
I used to have a lower model Shark (can't remember which one) but it sucked the wind noise was insane and i didn't like the padding on the inside, i have a Icon Mainframe now the padding on the inside is very comfortable and it is not that noisy but it does fog up alot

Shoei's RF-1000 is an awesome lid overall. If you get a solid color the price is decent -

Suomy's Vandal is the best fitting helmet I've ever tried -

My first helmet was an open face GMAX 17S, and say what you want about discount brands; the helmet does what it's supposed to with no trouble. The adjustable venting system works and is effective, the open face obviously helps with keeping cool.
It works so well, the second helmet I bought for my passengers was also an open face GMAX 17S.
The interior of the helmet is removable and easily washable. Both helmets also came with dual shields (clear and smoke), visors, and protective bags for everything.
All this and it only cost me a $100 and change after taxes!
Oh, and it fits me really well.
If it works, why change it?
I'm on my second AGV Stealth this one a Razor, very light, well vented, visor change in less then a minute with no tools.....LOVE IT!!!
