The first time i did it on the bike i actually haven't used all the clothes that i brought, I packed too much.

What's included in your 'camp laundromat'?

Campground will usually have coin laundromat, where you can laundry your chothes.A ziplock of 2 scoop of detergent is always good to have on your pack, which is also usefull to clean oil or your bike if need. We found it usefull to dry my jackets after riding -camping in the rain before going back to riding in the rain. Jackets will feel nice and toasty at least for some time.

Ahh, that makes more sense now, especially in terms of how many changes of clothes you'd have to pack for 18 days. Good idea for warming the riding jacket.

Route and plans are finalized. If you're interested in this ride, get in touch with me ASAP. You'll need to book the ferry ride(s) as there is limited space and gets filled up quickly.

Re: 18 day Tour to East Coast - June 6th - June 21st

Hey! I wanted to do solo cross country Canada, but do not have enough money . So this may be an alternative for me, I am unemployed so I have no obligations in that way lol. And I need to get away with my bike!

    Few questions

    - will a 07 ninja be able to handle this trip?
    - i will probably have to carry more than just a backpack?
    - will we have to chill each day where we stop? explore, etc? rather than just ride, sleep, eat?

    Thanks,

    AMit

Make your way out to Twillingate (sp?) if you have time and take the boat tour in Gros Mourne, both are well worth it.

    - I'm sure a ninja will be able to handle this trip if it's packed right (I know riders who went to the West Coast and back on R6 and Gixxers). The question is will you be able to handle this trip on a Ninja.

    - For luggage, I'd suggest getting a medium tankbag, a couple of saddlebags and attaching your backpack and tent/sleeping bag to the rear seat.

    - We plan on exploring and stopping to check out places along the way. However, keep in mind that there will be riding involved everyday. We might ride 8-9 hours for two days and maybe 2 hours on third day and use it for relaxing/sightseeing.

    * Sent you a PM regarding booking ferry rides.

For meeting tomorrow to finalize plans: How about the Timmie's at Weston/401 sometime in the afternoon.

I'll be at Ted's (Rosey Toes) getting some work done in the afternoon. They're probably gonna take all day anyways, considering its the weekend

I moved to halifax for the summer, if you guys drop by and need to do any maintenance, I brought my bike stands with me, and a small tool kit, also have a trailer. I wouldn't mind coming up to the cabot trail, stay the night and split back to Halifax.

forgot to mention if you will be doing 7500 km don't forget to factor in tires, I would get them to a local shop from Pete's SuperBike from Montreal to Halifax, and get them installed here.

Last time I did that trip, didn't plan my tire life, and ended up paying about 320 just for a rear tire.

Just Got back. My passenger missed her flight in Moncton so I decided to ride back home, just resting and will post-up highlights.

Fortunately got rained only twice, once in New Foundland and today on the way home.
