time for a M/C rebuild?
|
It seems that every time I press down on my rear brake pedal for my 2001 sv650s, the pedal stays depressed, and keeps the rear wheel locked.
Now, I was told that it was probably just a buildup of dirt/grease that was clogging it, but after removing the rear brake pedal/pegs and cleaning them and re-greasing them, the problem is still there.
Does anyone have any ideas? Too much pressure in the brake lines? Faulty brake unit? Anything?
time for a M/C rebuild?
maybe time to refresh your rear caliper.
you have to determine what is causing the issue.
it could be binding, lack of fluid, you might need a Master cyl. rebuild, or caliper seals are sticking?
lots of things, just do a good inspection with the bike on a rear stand...

most of the time it's caliper seals... Take out caliper. Pull it apart. Clean with brake cleaner. Original seals can be used. PM if need more info or help doing that.
