I have 4 of these in my bike. The slim ballast is about the size of a Moto Razr (the first one). Works great, nice and bright.

I ordered from DDM last month after seeing this write-up http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=133338 on the 600rr forum. I had to purchase a 55 watt ballast (so my canbus doesn't flip out) and chose an H7 6000K lamp for my F800. I had it shipped to a US address so I can't say how much the CDN shipping would be but I'm pretty sure he ships USPS to Canada, using Global Priority Mail. You could always call and find out for sure. The shipping package for 2 H7 kits was about the size of a box that you would purchase front brake pads in for a pickup truck.

Looking at it, seems like a decent unit and it does come with a lifetime warranty. I also ordered an H4 setup for my riding buddy. The H4 uses an electrically operated rotating metal shield around the lamp to give you both Hi and Lo beams. Time will tell how reliable it is but the price certainly was right.
Can't we settle this over a pint?

This can work for any type of motorize vehicle provided you get the correct bulb size. Like it has already been said that 4500K is the optimal light output which also comes standard on car's equippend with OEM HID's.

If your bike has an halogen housing then putting HID's simply would become pain for others as the light put will be non directive which inessense also gives glares. However if your bike comes with a projector, it is still not viable to install HID's but the output is not as bad as halogen housing. Having said that i have HID's on my R6.

To get the best output from HID kits, it is advisable to go retro route. Some people have used TSX projectors matched up with 4500K bulbs and the output is meraculous.

I have the same HID kit on my bike running it for the last 2 years and still working like a champ.

you would required a special (read $$$) HID bulb that incorporates a filament for high beam...

they have one's that work for dual filament bulbs, not that much more expensive

    ------------------

    Hello Nas,

We are not allow to ship USPS for our packages because they have been unreliable in the past. If you provide shipping labels or any company that you choose, you may do that as an option if you want DHL, FEDEX, etc, but we cannot ship anything but UPS. Sorry.

If your E-mail is URGENT, please call in. This is the fastest way to get your issue resolved.

DDM kits are pretty cheap I have one and one of the bulbs was a dud right out of the box. I wouldn't order another kit from them.
