in summary:
· Lady in the car thought she had a advance forward and went through the red light hitting the motorcycle with two people on it (she was fine )
· passenger (GF) was fine after spending some time in the hospital
· Rider was air lifted to the hospital with serious injuries including a severed left leg from the knee down I believe
· He is alive and a friend of him said he is in good spirits but trying to deal with the trauma
About 30 motorcycles from this forum had a rally (can you see me now rally)the next day at the same spot of the accident to show support for the rider and to increase awareness for motorcycles

Shawn de Jager was the organizer of the rally, he is getting a group together to increase awareness and has also created a website (sorry, don't know where the link is)
PM him if you would like to help
Also, the rider's family is accepting donations at pray4rob@hotmail.com. Remember to kick a few bucks Fatmir's (a.k.a. Rob) way. Even $10 can help if it comes from enough of us.

Like many active sports, shooting has the potential to cause personal injury.

The website is www.roadawareness.ca. I would also encourage you to join the Facebook group. Please search for "RoadAwareness.ca" and you will find it. Please invite all your friends to join even if they aren't riders.
Once you visit the website you will understand that road safety doesn't just effect us riders but everyone. We all need to get behind this campaign.
