yup! then start on the back of the filler cap till it drops in and work your way outwards in a circular pattern till you get the shape you want!
that method works best for me!
hey johnny, i fixed up my newest tank and its out at paint but i dont wanna grip tape this one. what did you use on yours? that black rubbery stuff, or i was thinking of useing snowboard stomp pad **** so you could see the paintjob through it. what do you think?
Need something welded? Mild or Stainless Steel and Aluminium. PM me for quotes!
Just grab one of these bad boys to hammer the tank down!
Im no expert but what about jumping on it while its installed, at least to get it started mabye you'll have less hammer marks. Mine was bondo'd after for a nice smooth finish.
Cool, thanks guys. I'm gonna try to pick one up and do it this weekend. What are you guys using for grip? Is there some kind of tape or pad that's especially good to use?

cheapest thing to use is griptape(the stuff on skateboards) you can buy a sheet of it @ a skate shop for $5
OR use the snowboard stomp pad stuff
OR use the stuff johnny mentioned earlier

Never ever put stomp grip on the top of the tank....U will not have a butt left. That **** will eat ur *** away.
