I don't like Spies. He's a good rider, and he's not a ********* or anything but he has about as much personality as a potted plant. Everytime i've ever heard him interviewed i thought the same thing. How does someone who does something so exciting make it sound so boring?

I'd love to see Spies give it to the World Superbike guys. I think the level in the AMA is pretty high these days, but I don't think the Europeans appreciate that.

there's a lot of guys who will be fighting for podiums, Haga and Fabrizio for sure, Spies, (I don't think Sykes has the pace yet), Neu(whatever, lol), Kyo, Checa and lets not forget Byrne... I think Corser and Xaus will be able to mix it up after the BMW has a few races under its belt.
I'm a big Haga fan, hopefully this will be his year to shine, but Spies on the Yamaha is definitely another guy I'll be rooting for.
Surprised #76 hasn't been mentioned yet but Max Neukirchner could do very well this year.

spies you weiner......did you see spies fidgeting on the start grid of race1...couldn't decide wether to start with one or two feet down...didn't look focused at all. can you say pressure boiler gitten/got to him?

yeah, but that had nothing to do with the run off... it's too bad though, he would have fought for a podium in race 1
Haga race 1 and Spies in race 2... worked out well
yeh it was a heart breaker. what led to him running off ? my 19 and 19 tv (19" screen, 19 years old) tv doesn't provide much detail.

I think it was Biaggi that stood him up and caused him to run off... it's amazing that he even saved it as he was headed towards the wall and gravel at a pretty high speed.
Apparently the first time it was Haslm that Biaggi had to avoid... so then Ben had to avoid Biaggi. The second time it was an incident with Xaus avoiding someone... and Ben got the worst of that one too.... that's the one where he nearly went into the wall, not the first one.
