Does anyone know what store is located down 400 about 45 mins away from Toronto and the store front is visible right from the highway?
A buddy of mine said it's a big store with lots of stuff and the prices are somewhat lower that in a big city but he couldnt remember the name.
I thought that it was located at the Cookstown Outlet Mall but it's not in the mall's directory.

I think you're talking about Royal Distributing. There's one that you can see off 400 near Barrie (its in Innisfil).

The prices are pretty much set and stuff is priced like any other moto store, except Royal has a huge store and tons of different gear to try on. The sales people are really helpful to and not always on your back pushing you to buy stuff. I've only really been there once, but have heard a lot of good things about them on the forums.

Baysideperformance.com and .ca great site and really friendly service. Canadian company, and the owner races in ama. Ive saved well over $1000 on my cbr already this season, from exhaust system, tires, powercomanders, chains. They stopped with the harley stuff for my girlfriends bike. But have a tonne of sport bike stuff!!!

Hey, first time on this site and this thread is quite helpful, people can't telling me there were only like 2-3 shops in toronto that sell gear.

Basically, i'm gearing up to take my M2 next month and I need all the essential gear (Helmet, Jacket, Gloves, etc) and I'm looking for something relatively cheap, because I wanna buy expensive nice gear when I know exactly what bike I want.

So I was wondering if anyone can let me know if Riders Choice is a good place to go, so I don't get ripped off... I live in mississauga so its quite convienient, or do you guys reccomend somewhere better for new drivers?

Get the new driver thing out of your vocabulary! You don't drive a bike, you ride it! New Riders!!!

As for the Riders Choice question, they are a great shop and in motorcycles like in everything else you get what you pay for. They carry high-end gear for the most part and as a consequence you pay more, eventually most new riders go though the same phases as everybody else... They start by buying cheep gear that only last the first year and then end up buying middle tier stuff in the second and then if they get serious or track oriented they start buying high-end stuff. In the end you end up with allot of gear in the closet most of which you'll no longer wear cause you consider it lower quality than the good stuff you just bought. If you've got the cash then save yourself from making the same mistakes or building up a collection like most do, by visiting a higher-end shop like riders choice. By the way I didn't ask what type of bike you ride, so the above only holds true if you ride sport, now if you ride a cruiser well... Those guys are just crazy squids, so no gear required!

You may sometimes feel like your wearing allot more gear than others, but after being in or seeing quite a few crashes first hand you'll see the importance of always wearing your gear all the time. That last point is key, wear your gear even if just going to the local convenience store, statistically you more likely to crash or be involved in an accident when close to home.

If you really wanna learn what makes for good leathers, go into a shop with high-end gear and have the sales guys explain the differences between there gear and the cheaper stuff, it's a lesson every rider out there should get and best of all it's completely free.

Happy shopping and remember getting you M2 means you're learning experience has just begun...
