    I don't know how you guys are getting such low rates, I was quoted
    $262.08 Monthly for a 2005 Yamaha R6 just for TPL ( Third party Liability only).
    Why am I getting raped?

    isn't it that you get those rates only if you're with statefarm, or 25? i asked last season, and they're like our SF conditions are we don't insure people that aren't with us already under the age of 25.

    n sun n reliance is just absolute rape 3gz...

    how'd you guys get SF to work?...and which agent?

    Re: State Farm - My Rates

    don't u need to have other stuff insured with state farm liek car and house before they will look at you for insurance ???

    I was quoted about 2k for the year by riders plus. I am 28, clean record, I will have m2 in 2 months which is when I get bike. Getting a gt650 (think sv650) naked so classified as sports turing.

    My fathers gold wing was set at 1500 for full insurance same place clean record, age well hes my dad so older then me and same thing getting m2 in 2 months.

    but if state will be lower guess who I am getting anyone recommend a broker to call for state farm if they don't require all your insurance through them like I have heard.

    Re: State Farm - My Rates

    Their A plan is bar none the best rate you can get for an SS bike (I didn't miss too many companies/brokers quotes!) but having said that, their rates for my car alone with them, to qualify for the A Plan are more than I pay for car/house currently...by a long shot! In the balance of things, until I get my offer of renewal for the car/house in June and find out how this new hike is going to affect my premium, I'm better off with a stand alone bike policy (Plan B) with SF and keeping my car/house with my group insurer. INVHO, insurance premiums are a drag, but take a look around you the next time you're doing a group ride. Poor riding habits, lack of safety gear and a pantful of testosterone/attitude contribute to financial burdens for those who just enjoy the tuned performance of a SS machine...within reasonable limits!

    YMMV

    So can someone tell me please a State Farm Agent that will insure JUST the bike...My agent says I need to keep the car/home with them (even though I can beat their home/auto by $1300/year with someone else). I just want to keep my bike with SF.

    Ok, so I've got them to let me drop the car/house but then I'm subject to the new "non-discount" price....

    +$1000 over my current price...some discount I was getting eh?

    Re: State Farm - My Rates

    I Guess i'm on their "B" plan since it's just my bike with em; Let me know what u guys think of this rate;

    Finally is it worth the full coverage or should i just go with the Liability? (Alarm system installed on my bike)

    Stats:
    25 male / GM2 (100% clean, don't have auto) / Scarborough
    2007 Suzuki GSX-R 600

    Have approved RTI Riders Training certificate & Married (Both of these things don't matter it seems)

    now i spoke to few Agents within State Farm from Various Locations.. all of their Liability premium was the same; Some were cheaper if u wanted more coverage.. see below

    Quote:

    Full coverage $1000 collision & $500 deductible Liability: $1 mill = $1486/year ($1533 was from few other Agent)

    No collision & fire and theft Liability: $1 mill = $1253/year ($1300 was from few other Agent)

    $1 mill Liability alone = $1065/year (stayed the same from all the Agents)

    Hope this helps you with your hunt

    let me know guys, cheers!
