While reading this thread it's very interesting to see how insurance has and will shape the face of motorcycling in Ontario, and the process of getting your first motorcycle. What Ontario licensing does not do, insurance does: that is, new riders should start out on beginner friendly bikes. There are exceptions, but wow, to pay $4k+ per year for insurance, you really need to be committed to having an SS, and double committed to financing one.

Maybe the "system" really does work.
