Well I am glad others have had success with this fellow. I called and spoke to Avi Singh 2 weeks ago. Told him the bikes I was interested and my details. He called back and left a message to call him back. I called back over 3 times during that week, leaving messages or being told he would call back. He didnt return any calls for the past 2 weeks. Maybe I will call again. We'll see, maybe someone else deserves the commision instead...

The other insurance people I spoke to were great, and I probably will go with one of them.

I know everyone's milage will vary, and 99% of you all rave about this guy, but I'm posting this here just so people know its not all a bed of roses.

If you are over 25 and have been driving for more than 5 years go with State Farm....its a no brainer.

If your initials are B.C. I have been trying to call you back, but there is no voicemail on the number I have for you.

Actually I had a similar experience and just stopped trying as I called in excess of 5 times.

What email address are you using? Is it avi.singh@holmanins.com? I've checked my records and only one person who purchased insurance from me on the date you've cited has requested multiple slips. Slips were mailed by my office on July 24th, 2008, August 29th, 2008 and again on October 21, 2008. I have no returned mail for this client.

The slips I send over email are valid proof of insurance for any police officer or for any court purposes (FYI - it doesn't need to be on pink paper for it to be valid).

    Re: Avi Singh

    ++ for Avi Singh.
While I am not insured with him, I did ask him to quote me on my cages and bike.
I emailed him in the evening and even offered me to call hima s late as 11 pm, as he was in the office late. He called me the next am, and again a few hrs later once he had all my info.
Even though I didn't insure anything with him, and was shopping around to compare quotes to my current ones, as his rates were nearly identical to my current ones, he happily explained some nuances in the industry to me, and we even had a joke or two. Personable guy, good at educating the consumer (which, in today's marketplace is severely lacking IMHO), and very down to earth, regular type of guy.

    Talking Re: Cornerstone Insurance Brokers

I recently spoke with Andrew about my motorcycle insurance. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the field, and was able to offer me an amazing price. I really appreciate all the effort he put into finding me the best deal, and I recommend CSIB highly to motorcycle owners, as well as for other insurance (he got me a great deal on my home insurance too!). Overall, I had an excellent experience and I continue to be pleased with the service.

Avi, emailed you about 2 weeks ago...and no response? Asking for a ZZR600 and Spirit 750.

    Re: Avi Singh

Avi Singh is only interested if there is money involved. Anyone will happily help you if they are going to be getting something out of it. But someone who will help you because they want to is something special.

Sorry but everyone boosts this man way too much. He doesn't deserve all the props hes getting. Hes a business man. I don't blame him for working the way he does. Hes got to feed the kids. But hes definitely isn't the best thing that happened to insurance cause thats how most of you people talk about him.

Ive asked him for help before. He responded once, but never again.

And Avi, i don't need your excuses either responding well "when did you call/email me i check my phone/email all the time" because thats what you normally do after someone says something bad about you. Sometimes you screw up to, suck it up.

    Re: Avi Singh

He answers my calls when I call him and when he does not he gets back to me. I called him at 8PM on a Friday night to complete my insurance deal and he picked up his phone because he was working from home.

Hes polite, easy to talk with, made the process very smooth and was very personable.

He gave me a quote via Kingsway that was a bit better than the other guys and explained to me about my up coming years of insurance after I had some exp and how joing a club would help my rates a bit.

    I have no complaints.

    WTF dude:
Somehow you expect the man to help you because he likes you or something ? It's his F'n job. Of course he wants to get paid. How often do you go to work and say no thanks to your paycheque? That's what the real world of business is about...generating revenue by being good at what you do...and integrity is doing what you do well, in both service and sales. I am betting you have a job, and an empolyer, because your attitude isn't one of a self employed business man. I can tell you are used to getting taken care of instead of taking care of yourself. Hell you are probably even in a union.

As far as service, Avi rates good with me...and obviously many others in and around the GTA agree. Just one look at his reputation and posts on this board prove that. I didn't spend a cent with Avi, yet he spent over a an hour on just one of the calls to me, just to educate me on insurance practises and give me a quote on my bike and a couple vans....not to mention a couple long distance calls he didn't need to make, but chose to. Of course to drum up possible business, and why not? That's what business people do.
