That was beautiful! I think it's safe to say the new lens works out alright . . .

Almost forgot about the show this weekend. Worked out to be a good opportunity to try out my new camera and lens.
Overall I thought it was a pretty good show. The Desmosidici, S 1000 RR, and RC8 made my day.

Thanks. Yeah I'm pretty happy with it. Now if only I could take some pics of my own bike with it.
That d90 is a great looking camera. Low light is eons ahead of the d80. You have the 50mm 1.4? Nice.
NICE PICS!!!
D90 rocks
Thanks for the comments.
Yeah, I've been really happy with the D90. It's my first DSLR, but I read up on it like crazy before I bought it. It's almost identical to the D300, which was almost double the price.
The new 50mm 1.4G was an early unexpected Christmas gift. I don't see myself using another lens for a loooong time.
Yeah, whenever anybody asks me what a good first body is, I always recommend the d90. And that new 50mm lens looks pretty nice.
Great camera and lens indeed but man, thaaats a lot of muuula to spend on a new hobby. But then again, I know someone else who just got into DSLRs as well, bought a 40D and has already spent over 4K.
I just got myself a DSLR for the first time too but I went with a D70s so I could use AF lenses and then got two basic AF lenses --17-55 and 55-200. But I also bought a 50mm/f1.8. The 50mm was a gift, every thing else costed me 430$.
-- Me fail English? That's unpossible.
-- This is the sort of English up with which I will not put.
Yeah, I mean for people that are serious. Not for your mom or whatever who's never owned and SLR before. For a serious amateur the d90 is great because it'll be a while before they grow out of it. Nothing worse than buying a camera, only to have to buy another 6 months down the road because the body you have is lacking features or image quality. That's what happened to me with my d80- I was in and out of that one really quickly. Then it was on to the d300 and finally the D3.
And that 50mm 1.8 you have is a great lens. Probably the best bang for the buck in the whole Nikon lineup. I have one myself and it's as sharp or sharper than some of my lenses that cost 2 grand.

"The Christian god can easily be pictured as virtually the same god as the many ancient gods of past civilizations. The Christian god is a three headed monster; cruel, vengeful and capricious. If one wishes to know more of this raging, three headed beast-like god, one only needs to look at the caliber of people who say they serve him. They are always of two classes: fools and hypocrites."

Nice shots. Judging by the number of shot of the RC8, I think I can guess what your favorite bike was at the show.
Hey Krim, I thought we were going to go together. I see how it is...if thats the way..then I'm not coming up to the cottage no more
nice pics
Awesome pictures. Thank you for sharing!
This was with a phone camera so please forgive the bluriness.
I was unfortunately unable to purchase said bike and free it from it's boring life in a crate.
