I neeedddd your help 93 gsxr 750

Hey guys i have a problem with my first bike its a 93 gsxr 750 now recently its acting strange i pull the clutch and put it in first the bike shuts off automatically i have contacted some people they say its the cluth some say its the gear box and it might cost upto 800.00$ but i want your opinion everybody what should i do please respond any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.

Do you have one of those kickstand switches that turns the bike off if the kickstand is down? Every bike I have owned with one of those I had removed.
