2008 gsxr starting help

08 gsxr 600. start button doesn't start the bike. Tested the switch and its fine, even swapped it out for another one. bike will run when the starter solenoid is jumped. changed the solenoid, and all the relays. The only things that aren't on the bike are the headlights and tail lights.

Have you pulled any fuses ?

Do the lights turn off when you hit the start switch at all?

EDIT: I guess you need to have the headlights and tail lights installed to find that out.... lol

just tried that now, still nothing, but it gives me somewhere else to check later, I will jump those wires at the plug for the left clipon later.

If the switch works, and you can jump the solenoid and it will start, then haven't you narrowed the problem down to being the wires between the switch and the solenoid?

kinda, tracing them in the harness isn't easy. was wondering if there was anything else inbetween (other then the wires) that I've missed. only one wire from the switch the same colour at the solenoid, the other wire at the solenoid is the same colour as the one at the clutch swtich which I was told to check today, after I'm done eating lunch I'm going to jump the clutch wires where the left clipon plugs into the main harness.
