    amazon.com or amazon.ca

I am eying a few books on both sites. With the exchange factor, the price is almost the same. Just wondering if there is a difference if one orders off .ca or .com?

    Thanks folks

One gets shipped from Canada (Mississauga?), the other from somewhere in the USA. You may end up having to pay duty if you get it from .com. If the price is the same, get it from .ca. If it's over some amount you can get free shipping (not available from .com).

Did you try checking out on the American site?
I seem to remember trying to order off of .com and when I put my address info and tried to check out it said I had to order from the Canadian site.

Order from Canadian if they have it. The american one carries a lot more stock, but I think you may need to ship it to a US mailing address. I have never had any problems with .ca

Post some pics as an incentive...

I like Chapters for in-store shopping. For online ordering I prefer Amazon:
    1. They seem to have bigger selection of books/CDs/DVDs
    2. They are often cheaper.
    3. I already have an account at Amazon and I'm getting tired of setting up more online accounts...
    4. Amazon.ca and Amazon.com use the same account. You get one, you have both.
    5. Amazon has affiliate sellers that sell used stuff, often at a much lower price. (I don't know about Chapters.)
    6. Amazon would do little nice things like breaking up your bigger order into smaller ones so you can get some of your books sooner, without additional shipping charges. (I don't know if Chapters does that.)
    7. I like Amazon.

    haha good idea.
Not sure about any of that stuff with the different companies, I go home and books/magazines are there. Maybe she uses Amazon? that would be funny.
