    Riding to London, any recommendations?

Hey all, I am going to ride to London and back one day this weekend. Any recommendations on roads? (I can't take the highway).

Google Maps has me taking Dundas (hwy 5) to Side rd. 2

    http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&saddr...5,3.339844&z=9

Any suggestions on alternative routes that would not deviate my ETA too much?

There is no other way that is more entertaining but wont impact your ride time a great deal.

    What i would do....

Highway 5 west to 52/Copetown Rd.
Copetown Rd south to 1st set of lights then turn right onto #99.
#99 West to Paris where it turns into #2
#2 through paris and woodstock all the way to London.

Thats a little quicker than taking #5 through St. George.

thanks for the suggestion. I realize my options are limited, but I'm new to driving in those parts.

Is it worth deviating a bit to try Snake road?

from hwy 5 to snake road up hwy 6 back to hwy 5 will only take 7 min of your time tops.

if you end up on the 401 at all watch your speed, they love running radar from the top of overpasses with about 5 cruisers wating on the on-ramp ready to yank people over
