Getting my first bike on Friday (2008 GS500F). I am looking forward to getting a month of experience before the winter comes.
Feel free to say hi and give me a wave when you pass me!

I did 2,000km in November the first year I owned a bike. Get some ideas for inexpensive gear to fight the cold and you're all set to get out there and have some fun!

I am really looking forward to getting some road time this weekend. I think I will start in some of the industrial parks in backof Milton. I am just not confident that 2 days in a parking lot is enough to lead me to the 400 series lol.
Hope to see some of you out there.
hey welcome im pretty new to the bike myself , got it at the end of august..mind you i'v been lurking for ages ..i also live in milton , we have some awesome roads to hit, im on a silver cbr f4i and usually found in the back roads of milton, ie: Guelph line, Britannia, Cedar springs, etc ..don't forget to wave if you see me
enjoy the ride - it will be a good weekend.

I started early mornings on the quiet residential streets around my neighbourhood, and did 2-3 days of 2 hours rides consisting of stops, starts and turns before I felt comfortable taking my first test drive in traffic. Do what you do to feel comfortable, learn at your own pace, and you'll be fine. There's no such thing as too much practice (and I should do more myself).
Welcome!

Welcome to the world of motorcycles. Nice to see more girls out there!

Welcome and congrats on your first bike! Take it easy and ride safe!
Welcome! 500 is perfect starting bike. Just enough power to keep you out of trouble. Remember, it's not the bike, it's the ones in the cars that don't see you...and they don't. Don't trust drivers in cars. Always leave yourself room. More so in the spring riding, as they're still getting used to bikes buzzing past them. Good luck. Have fun.
Shinny side up, rubber side down, always.
I grew up in milton.. lots of nice roads around! Enjoy and congrats!
I have been practicing over the weeknd. Here are a few pics of me on the bike.
