Wait I got a few of these!!!! Hold on you meant bikes... oops. I'll just take my pictures elsewhere. Jokes
lets hope this one doesn't spend more time in the shop than on the road.
Aprilia
they're almost as reliable as a chinese knockoff... almost.
but they sure look pretty.
sorry, I'm just bitter because mine's been in the shop 12 times in 11 months. And other aprilia owners have had similar experiences.

false advertising!!!
Speaking of being in the shop... Dactyl, you should bring the bike in and have them disconnect some relay or something that allows the ECU to fire off the starter at speed. It's a soft recall from Aprilia.
Mine went off during rush hour traffic last Thursday. The starter still works, but it makes an awefully disturbing noise. I have service booked next monday to replace the starter and disconnect that relay. At least it's covered under the warranty (if it does happen to you too).
SR50 meatee?
Did you ever wonder why the engine it called the DIE-tec..lol
and yet one more tread name that gets me wroked up hoping for something else...
But nice bike! looks awesome!

I know about that issue, havn't had a problem, I know the starter switch can stick and I'm always keeping an eye on it(replacing it this winter and having the flash upgrade). Thanks for the heads up though. I love the bike and have about 5k on it...Riding up to Muskoka and then Sudbury with it next week..
Nice ride Kool, love the front rotor on those!!!!
I knew about the issue too. I just figured a new bike picked up in Aug. 08 would have the fix already... It didn't. There's also speculation that the problem isn't with the actual starter button, just with the ECU firing off the starter when it's not supposed to. Keep in mind, you're supposed to be able to change the mapping modes with the starter button, even when the bike is running. So the starter butting sticking should just be changing the modes in the display, not engaging the starter.
Funny, I have family in Sudbury, and I was just up there with the bike last weekend.
I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEe this one!
