I was using it for awhile, and now it says invalid URL, even though the link still works. I can't even upload the gif. why not?

i don't get it. I tried it again, and now, when I add the URL link, I get the animated gif working as my avatar in my edit avatar screen, but when I go to save I get "file upload failed"
Help! Anyone?!
And yet, now my avatar is animated again. Can't make any sense of this!
