    Re: 3 day ride

    Very open ended question.
I can very comfortably ride multiple 700km days.
So conservatively 3 days would be 2,100kms.
Since you have to come back, half that amount.
So picture a circle with a radius of 1,100kms with wherever you are as a centre.
That's a pretty big f'ing circle as the crow flies.
Granted no road travels in the direction of a crow.
But even so that circle covers a very large area.
A circle of 780kms includes Quebec City, New York, Chicago, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Chowder from Maine perhaps. How about Timmins, Washington DC, Ottawa.
    The list is almost endless.
Just pray that the border wait isn't too long.

You could try the Adirondack mountains in New York State - only 6 hours to get there, and then some fun riding in and around, lots of tourist stuff to do, great food and places to stay.

Or you could do the trip around Algonquin park...

    Have fun wherever you go!

    Re: 3 day ride

    Good sounding trip.
If it were me, I'd forget the 407 and 400 and go straight up 12 from you and meet up with the 400 north of Orillia. There are some good/interesting roads that way.
If you look at your return trip just after Wiarton, there is a side road County Rd 1 that is nicer but slightly longer to ride than 6.
That will bring you into Owen Sound. Then take a little loop of 3rd ave east/County Rd 15.
Take 26 East to Thornbury then grab Beaver Valley Road. That will take you to 4, which can take you back to Hwy 10. OR go east on 4 and then go south on 124.
For a little side trip take County Road 9 to Creemore (you won't be disappointed). The Mill Restaraunt serves great hamburgers.
Then you could take Airport Rd south to 89 and then return that way.

As far as the ferry goes. There use to be a Ticket agent at the entrance to Manatoulin at the Trans Canada. Buy your tickets there and check on the ferry status. Manatoulin island is beautiful to ride around, but the ride to the ferry is a 100km long dead end if you can't get on the Ferry.

    That's all I got. My 2cents.
    Have fun.
