I think one of the biggest things we are lacking is a shop that accepts stunt riders. I send people to certain shops and they get treated like ****, laughed at and mocked...Why cause they stunt? They pay the same as a track junkie, racer, or street rider...Yet they get pushed aside like they dont matter and arent part of the motorcycle comunity....
Thats why Id like to see a local shop pick up a local rider, and have a shop where people who arent as mechanically inclined as some of us can go to get their bikes worked on...I know there alot of people that would like to get into it, but have no idea where to start or how to build their own stunt bike....
Everyone I know that has ever tried my MSR raptor pro cluch lever wants one, and they dont want to wait. They offer to buy the one right off my bike, or beg me for my spare....Wouldnt it be nice if a local shop stocked them? I know I could have sold at least 40 of them by now...

where to start......first of all just cause people are not getting charged to get in the event doesnt mean its free......somewhere someone is making money or the event wouldnt be happening..... i will give you a little tip...in this game everyone talks a mean game but not many people really make things happen... i dont doubt some people are blowing smoke up your ***** but i gaurantee 99% of people telling you they are going to do something for you will not come through.....you might not care about making money in this game but thats not the point....if you do stuff for free you just take money out of the other riders that are working to maybe make some money to pay for there bikes so it doesnt cost them any money to ride....just cause darius and britton maybe did shows for free to legitimize our sport and get it into the main stream doesnt mean everyone should be doing it now....they worked hard for our sport so people can now make some money at it.....you say that im forgetting where stunting came from in one sentance and then you say you dont want to be stuck in some dark parking lot....i got news for you....thats where it started...
as far as the sbr goes....hindle is our sponsor who sponsored the rally...you dont think that a team they sponsor should be doing a show they help create??? and to say that you allowed us to ride....like you had any say in it..who did they have come back the next year and perform??? wasnt your team thats for sure...and you think that not picking up your check shows that your not about the money...thats B.S. it shows that you have no business sense in my opinion...who doesnt pick up money they worked hard for???.did you go over that decision not to get the money with your team mates??? did they all tell you that they didnt want to get paid for driving hours away from home and performing??? and you say that you dont want to be that guy..... well i got news for you....everytime you do a show for free you undercut the entire sport...and i dont know about you but i wish my sponsors could bully my way into some money....isnt that the point of having good sponsors...some pull....

Your mistaken about the rally, so I will tell the story from my side since Insain never said a word to us aobut it...
I used to got to Parker Brothers alot back then, and Glen who worked the parts counter told me one day this guy Lawenece is running the rally and wants to do the first stunt show at the Rally. And he was asking Glen to reccomned a stunt team, well Glen asked me if me and my freinds could do it....And he even mentioned that he knew about Il_advized but he wanted to give us new guys a chance to do something....So we met Lawance and we aggreed on a price for the show, he asked us if we had a name and we didnt so that is how and why StuntersINC was even formed...
The 1 week before the event Lwarenece calls and says we need to talk, he comes to our spot and we talk...He says there is a problem because Hindle didnt know there was going to be a stunt show, and now that they found out they want Il-Advized to do it....And he said if we dont aggree to do it with them they will pull all their funding for the event....So he told us its up to us we can refuse and keep it all to ourselfs if we want too, but bascially it will be known that the reason there is not radar run is because of us not wanting to share. He even said "Dont worry youll still get the same amount of money" and I told him its not about the money we just want to ride infort of a crowd...So we aggreed to share and you know what it was a better show with you guys, but I just dont like how it was done thats all....Insain never said a word aobut this and even after the fact...You can say whatever you want, but thats all I know about what happened from my side...
I respect some of your opinions but I cant aggree with all of them, because your calling it a sport and to me its just a hobby for now....If I didnt do some of the shows Ive done for free, I wouldnt have the contacts I have now...And I remember way back you guys came out to ride at a show in Brampton that was a charging to get in event, and you all showed up to ride for free...Thats what I mean by forgetting where you came from, because you did a free show too in the past...Maybe now that youve got payed for a few events you seem to have forgetten that? Some Il-advized guys made a big stink on SL about not being invited to the first event, and you showed up before I even did at the second one...So....
I feel bad for people looking to get money out of the hobby and have it become their profession, because there will always be amateurs willing to ride for free. So its really up to the professional ridres to show the reason they should pay them, instead of have ametuers do the events for free....
Its not undercutting if no one was going to pay anyone in the first place, if we didnt do the Blocko or the Envy thing....Then there simply wouldnt be any stunt shows at either event....Maybe thats why Qball stiffed on that event? He was on the flyer and said he was comming but didnt, which is cool but if we all stiffed I woundlt have had such a good time..And Im sure there would be some dissapointed people that went specifically for the stunt show...
When I asked you at the Blocko where your bike was, you said "I didint get an invite" not "Im not getting payed".....So Im a bit confused cause it seems like you would have rode too, but now your makin some strong points about deserving to get payed to ride...Why am I going to invite you to free shows, if your just going to say no because you dont do free shows anymore...
Just because its Stunters "INC" doesnt mean its a business, StuntersINC is just a group of freinds that love riding and stunt riding who formed a group because of the SBR gig...Id hate to have to tell the kids on the end of my street yelling "do a wheelie" that "Im sorry boys I dont stunt for free, put some money toghtere and maybe then I'll do something for you"......

im not exactly sure how the sbr rally went down...at the time i wasnt involved with the bussiness side of things...i was just told we had a show to ride....i had nothing to do with booking it....all i know is that i had fun with all the guys there....
im not here to start shiiiit, im just simply trying to get my point accross...there are more professional ways of getting contacts in the industry like sending a professional portfolio rather than riding big events for free....im not saying not to do a wheelie anytime unless your getting payed...thats just not what im trying to get across....as far as that brampton event goes i was told that it was some kind of compitition and they were going to be giving prizes away for thing like best trick, burnout, etc...i went with the hope of winning some gear..once i got there i was told that we couldnt win anything cause we were professionals....lol....i wish.... i think that your missunderstanding me...ive been in this sport longer than most in this area and im just trying to make it a bit better for the riders that risk there ***** and bikes to showcase what we do to the rest of the population...i am not expecting to make a living at this just to be thrown a bone once in a while...it still is a sport to me....
you say that the professionals should show why they should get payed....and you think that riding for free is the way??? i think letting some second rate rider go out there and crash all over the place speaks for itself....
and as far as the blocko goes...there was no invite...and that was before i said anything about getting payed....the reason i didnt come with my bike is cause it was your teams deal...not mine....im not going to just show up with my bike and step on your guys toes...thats not me...

im not saying that everytime you get on the bike you should be payed...im just saying to get anywhere in this game riders have to stick together....

Like I said I aggree with alot of your points, but some of them just dont relate to me....It depends on what you want to get out of this I guess, the way I look at it most of the time is....Im gonna be riding, crashing, and breaking parts reguardless, so if somoene has an event going where I can do the same but infornt of a crowd....Im there....Im sorry if that hurts the chance of anyone else ever getting anywhere with their dreams...
And anything Ive gotten out of this so far, free parts, service, etc etc, is because I did things for free, but I guess they arent really for free then? Im just not getting payed in dollar amounts.......
Some dude came up to me at the Blocko and asked where in the US we were from, I told him were from the GTA and he was surprized..He says he does stunt shows in Jamaica and they fly in riders from the US even thou they are GTA based, because he didnt know any GTA teams on our level existed....We swapped contact info and he said he would be contacting us for the next show, because he would like to have Canadian riders there....So again free show, but we might get something out of it in the future....good/bad well just have to wait and see I guess....There was also a photographer from a magazine there, also had no idea people were doing this **** in the GTA....And said he was starving for something like this for his mag, so he will be putting pictures and our names in the next issue...So again free show but were getting our name out in a mag....And we also were selling Tshirts there....I still think we here in Canada are where the US guys were 5 years ago, like you said "legitimize our sport and get it into the main stream" by doing free shows...Hopefully we can bring it to where it is in the US one day, and get payed......Maybe Im wrong but there are people out there that would like to see this stuff, and just have no idea anyone is doing it locally.....I like giving those people a taste of it...
What Id really like to see by years end is a local stunt comp, where eveyone can come ride with a cahcne to take something home....And I dont just mean guys like you or me, eveyone on every level from just starting out, to someone like you who has been at it the longest that I know of.....And the person that has the best idea and chance at doing this IMO, is someone I did a show for free for....Well just have to see...
Besides all that stuff its about time we have another big GTA stunt meet! Maybe even an ONT meet, get those guys from Htown and eveyone else out in one place...

There is a lot of peaks and Valleys within this Hobbie/Sport.
I am with everyone else about the $$$$ factor. I am concentrating on my career and just riding occassionally while my body heals up!
As I said before and there are threads on it....Greg, Johnny and Q and so on.....deserve what ever support they can get. Anyone who puts the dedication, $$$ and time in.......should have the support.
SBR has been discussed and full documentation on it....was a Hindle..organiser.....Indy thing.
Knocked on enough doors back in the day when nobody would have anything to do with stuntriding period.
i agree everyone that is hired should be compensated in someway. even if it is to have expenses covered. Even if it is for fun or not.
Secondly......everyone should make sure that they have some sort of event insurance....Anything can happen, and i would hate to see happen to any of my friends or co-riders in the event of some fluke incident with some spectator.
Anyone needs a hand or advice with bookings or sponsors.....give me a shout insain@il-advized.com

Just want everyone to know that I talked to Q about not showing up. Here is the deal.
Qball would never just stiff an event. He was asked to come out and he said that he would have to OK it with Jonny P. first. He was under the imperssion that it was Jonny's gig, and did not want to step on anyones toes. He totally respects all the stunt riders out there and would never just show up at someone elses gig. He siad that he facebooked Jonny P and never heard if it was OK, so he did not show up. I mean if he had an event booked, and someone just showed up and and wanted to ride, that would not be cool. It is all about reeeeeeeeespect! Maybe Jonny did not check his F/B for a few weeks? Anyways, he heard that people were saying that he stiffed the event, and was not too happy. He was just trying to respect other peoples shows. If this was just a big get together for everyone to ride, then he has misunderstood what the party was all about. Anyways, he wanted to say sorry for not showing up for the peeps that were wanting to hook up with him, and sorry if there was any misunderstanding. He did want to step on any other riders toes.
Q ball dont stiff events ... he will be there at 5 am waiting hahaha
Ive been with IL-Advized since day one and I still have never had a problem with anyone getting shows.... Do all/what you want ..it's all good with me. Someone has to rep stunting period!!! I'm glad you guys are doing shows and keeping it alive

Dont get me wrong, "stiff" was a bad choice of words maybe and isnt really what I meant....Qball or any of us had no obligation to go to the event, because its not a paying gig. I dont remember a Facebook message and Im sorry if I missed one from Qball, but its too bad he waited for my OK because its not my event and the person who is in charge is the one that invited him...He told me first thing I got there that Qball was comming and he rides 2 bikes....It would have been nice to have more riders there, but if he couldt make it thats cool too....
This is the 3rd Blocko we have atteneded, and the first one I rode to...Someone I rode there with was friends with the promoters. And asked if we could screw around in the back of the building, and a little show was born....The next year I was seeing the event listed on here and I questioned who was doing the stunt show that year, and thats when the promoter said he was looking for us (the guys that did it the year before) and that he wanted us to come back if we could....And I will going back every year, as long as they invite us...
