    Love this side:

    This side, not as much:

The gapping isn't "ideal", but no worse than stock, so that's a great success

Some unexpected bends took about 1mm off the front. Note for next time: test-fit taking the seat on and off a few times to check for spacing (before drilling)
A beautiful and distinctive looking modification in progress. Kudos to you sir. I look foreward to the day I see you at Timmys so I can shake your hand and slap your back. May I buy you a tea and bagel? I'd like to revisit the fork rake issue again, I have a 43mmx700mm tube right here, maybe I could compare it to the slope of your forehead?

Whoa! Its got a very nice and distinctive look! I like how you posted the process in fruition, makes the end product itself that much nicer.

Maybe it's just me and I haven't really thought this through, but your tank, custom painted like this would look sweet.

paint it to match the look of copper not that suzuki "copper" crap though lol, and a black from with gold front end would be sick. looks like it will be cool.

Drop Gear, Are you planning to hack off the rear sub frame? I think it's going to look incomplete until it comes off.

    yeah man, for sure.

kinda like this, as it's hot:

i was exploring the idea of getting a 2nd frame, chopping and painting that, but the complications with insurance were too much.

i don't give a hoot about getting cash for it if I crash, but i don't want my liability coverage scrapped just because the VINs don't match.

for sure cut the subframe short. Isn't the subframe steel anyways? just keep the old parts and weld it back on if you need to. I don't see any structural problem that could come up because, unlike aluminum, steel is so easy to weld.

Not a fan of that bike you posted above but I like bikes that show a lot of the rear wheel, really hot. Imagine if your passenger slids off the seat tho.

I want these parts gone! make me an offer.

please email me directly, I don't check the forums anymore. Thanks!

i have a soft spot in my heart for rat-bikes, but that was more of a joke.

yeah, the plan was always to cut. it's just a matter of pulling the trigger. it's all ready to go ..... nothing attached anymore, all the electronics have been moved .. :nervous:

i like the idea of chopping the tail right off. Ive been thinking of doing that for a while, but then i couldn't take passengers, have no storage space, and risk falling off the back.
Then again iv got a naked sv650 with a fighter front end, slightly different look

    Awesome job so far!

+1 for the shortening of that subframe sticking our on the back

This has the potential to be a sweet streetfighter! You should consider removing the fairings
