So i was parked at Queen and Spadina yesterday, right behind some cagers. I was parked maybe an hour and came back to find a ticket stuffed into my seat.
It reads:
PARK SIGNED HIGHWAY DURING
PROHIBITED (TIMES/DAYS).
$30.
I thought we weren't subject to these types of fines.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Parking is free for motorcyclists in the city of Toronto only when it is legal to park. Parking your bike in a location that prohibits parking will still result in tickets. For example, If you park your bike in a fire route, you will still get a ticket. Likewise, you can still get a ticket if you park your bike in a 'no parking' zone, or, in your case, parking in a 'conditional parking' zone outside the permitted times.
Were you parked between 4-6 pm? No parking during rush hour for bikes or cars.

You parked illegially just pay it. Why waste our tax money fighting a ticket that you deserve.

+1 - My friend got a bogus ticket for $20 (long story and not worth mentioning, just trust me), so he took it to court. He paid $10 to park, then the judge agreed but only dropped the ticket to $10. He missed a half day at work and still paid the $20..
