welcome.... unless you're rich, or extremely lucky, it'll be hard to find a 2008 ninja 250, because new ones are all sold out at dealerships and most used ones i've seen sell for a fortune, people sell them over the MSRP.... i got that but an older model (which isn't nearly as good looking as the '0
cruisers are easy and comfy to ride, same thing happened to me when i took the course....
good luck!
Best of luck on the bike search. Keep your eyes open on the forum people always have good bikes up here. Hope to see you out on some rides soon. I am in oakville drip me a Pm anytime.
Cheers

Get the Ninja 250!!!
Congrats on passing. I'm downtown....pm me if you're looking for ppl to ride with.
Thanks everyone !
Post Pics!!!
there are no new '08s sorry
but if money isn't a factor you can scoop one up on kijiijii or craigslist for more than they're worth....
the '09s are supposed to be coming out i heard between now and august, and they're gonna sell like hotcakes too.... if that's what you really want, go to a kawasaki dwalership, and just put a deposit down, that's your best bet, but there are no guarantees you'll be riding it this season, or maybe late in it
i was having trouble (stalling) my ninja 250 before the course, then i realized that i enjoyed the comfy-ness of the kawasaki eliminator , but the ninja 250 is very easy to ride, don't worry about it being "hard" to ride, you'll pick it up pretty quickly if that's the bike you still want.... plus it's all about the sport bikes!!!
ya i will probably put a deposit on a new 2009... Ninja 250 its just sucks that i wont be able to ride it untill next summer : ( ... thanks for the advice !
Welcome to the board.. I think you should pick what you're content with, you could start off with an older cruiser and make up your mind and graduate to something bigger once the experience kicks in.
Either way, taking the RTI bike course opened up my eyes on the different bike styles and enjoyed the cruiser.

Welcome!
I've heard that the 09 models are almost all spoken for already. I'd put down a deposit soon and buy a used bike to get out riding now. I think if you don't start riding shortly after the course it will be like starting all over next year. Just my .02.
Ride safe.
