    Ever think about making all the fairings in Aluminum and then polishing them to a chrome like shine?

    FWIW I painted some bare aluminum window frames about 20 years ago and they are still OK. I used aluminum cleaner to etch / prep the aluminum and then the zinc chromate spray cans and an enamel on top.
