I can toss a couple bags of groceries under the seat, and some more in the micro Givi on the back. I haven't tried heavy stuff like coke bottles yet, but maybe in a "green" bag between my feet, steadied by the helmet clip at the front...

Lol and people were laughing at me for riding home with two tires strapped to my back

For big loads (40lb+) I've got a large pack made for canoe tripping, can unfold out to 80L. Whatever you get make sure it had good waist straps, then all the weight is on your hips not your back.

Lol I cases of beer & 18L water bottles home with them sitting on the tank and holding it with my elbows.

face down on the seat. Loop of CAT cable around the back and tied from it down to the passenger pegs and grab handles. And my backpack kept hitting it, so I had to sit really close to the tank....and watch carefully for any bumps.

Also, for even more storage I bought side bags. They go on and off fairly easy, but not as easy as the tak bag. I use the side bags mostly for longer trips....extra clothes, shoes.....
I agree with the tank bag. Mine is big enough to hold lunch for 8 people. I do lunch runs for the entire office on fridays. 8 rotis from Ghandi's a couple of weeks ago and last week was 6 burritos from burrito boys.

I don't shop for groceries on the bike but I can carry a couple of 24's from the beer store so I guess I could carry some bread and milk.
