i read the news report and this simply sounds like a power charged ego getting the best out of the officer. he was proven wrong about the cell phone use at which time he whips out a baloney speeding charge to save his face, at which point she wants to prove him wrong again. so he says he has proof in the back of the car. If someone said that to me i'd get out because that sounds like a logical thing, for me to go see the proof. but not to cops. so she gets out and he orders her back in, but because he had to say it twice, he is now ordering her out and placing her under arrest. IMO if a cop was acting this erratically i'd be wary of listening to any other orders he has. LOL the cop even said he is charging her with disorerly conduct because when she got out of the car she was blocking traffic? she was pressed up against the driver door opening. meanwhile when he took her down he took her down into the middle of the street where a car could easily have ran he over if he stayed in the opposite lane. If this is not a case of blatant abuse by a cop i dont know what is.

It's pure childishness. How dare we question authority, after all they know best.

For the trouble she has to go through, she should have just cut through the chase and punched him in his idiot mouth.

If that's the one I think he's talking about, she was tased because she got out of her vehicle on the side of a busy high speed highway and was posing a safety risk both to herself and the cop. The choices would have been between zapping her or manhandling a fragile old lady, so that wouldn't have been a bad application of the taser i.m.o.

I fail to see how tazering "a fagile old lady" is any better than grabbing her by the wrist/arm and pulling/pushing her away from traffic... assuming that is the reason she was tazered.
