man..i would have loved to come see this... sounds like it will be a blast
next time (hopefully there will be a next time)
Ooh! I think I will be able to drop by tonight...I'll bring my camera
Ive been talking with the owner and this is just a feeler, and depending on the intrest we get will determine if were going to take it futher or not. Weve talked about the possibility of moving some of the meets to one of the other restaraunt locations in Markham, that has a much bigger parking lot. Or even possibly closing off Front st, right in front of the restaraunt...
Bottom line is someone told me "hey I have some space down town TO where you can do a stunt demo"....So Im jumping on the oportunity! Id do it even if no one was going to be there, just for the chance at some down town GTA stunt footage with the CN tower in the backround...
The space available is really small, and I really wont know how much we can do there untill I actually ride on it...Obviusly its going to be a slow techincal type demo, with mostly cirlces and idle wheelies...My biggest issue will be getting comfortable and warmed up in such a small place...Once I get my tire to hook and some what into the groove we should be able to pull off some cricle combos and such...Maybe people will like it maybe they wont, Im willing to give it a try either way...If I dont feel comfortable or things just arent going my way, we will just ride the 50's with WEEE and hang out...
This bike night is already off to a great start, Tim has been really good to me and everyone else I know so far. Hes willing to put in his time, money, and reputation inot this, and more so then Ive seen from anyone else so far in the GTA...And were all just trying to make it better for everyone with entertainment...Im sure eveyone enjoyed the dyno, but I was told some of the neibours didnt like how loud it was. So we have to look at other options to keep people interested and not just standing around looking at parked bikes...Weather you like stunts or not shouldnt affect your decision to check out this bike night..Show up and support the bike night #1, eat and shoot the ****, and enjoy the demo if you wish. If not just dont look accross the street and still fill your face with food on the patio instead.....
There are some people hating on this bike night on here, and it kills me! How can you hate on an event trying to serve the motorcycle community with cheap food, entertainment, prizes and a place to meet and hang without being hassled buy the police...IMO the GTA needed a real bike night like this, so Im going to support it however I can!
- I ride cuz i love it.
