Review of Simpson - Outlaw Helmet

Seeing as its rare to see these helmets, i figured i'd give my 2 cents.

Got the Outlaw for around $700 2 years ago.

Looks, in my opinion, amazing. I have the glossy black with a dark black shield and i love it.

Fit, skewed to the right, for some reason. I'm not sure why but the padding has molded to my head so that the helmet is slightly right of center. Not a big deal, but slightly annoying when you notice it.

Comfortableness, nice padding, but see next comment.

Noise, very loud for a $700 closed helmet. Lots of wind passing my ears.

Outlawness/Banditness, totally 100% in this category. Super badass.

In closing, spend the $700 on an Arai. As cool as this looks, its loud and windy.

You don't get a Simpson for comfort, that's for sure. Their street helmets are just modified from their race helmets with larger visors to meet DOT. I've owned a race Bandit since 2000 and anything is quieter and more comfortable. But you can't beat the exclusivity of a Simpson. Pull up to any pose meet and you'll most likely be the only one there with one.

Thats for sure. Nobody else has 'em. I guess i was just a bit disappointed in the comfort level for that price.

I have a CKX knock off, paid $100, and it's loud as hell, and an obnoxious amount of wind blows up into my eyes from the squared off nose
