Sounds like a good idea.
Less posts about dirt riding on the street section.
And easier to find dirt topics if they are all under off road
Good idea for sure

Where do you guys ride mostly?
Do you need insurance and all that other jazz where you go?

There is plenty of good arguments but me posting them all wont help me much seeing as your looking for the involvment from the masses.
I liked the outcome of adding the "Stunting" section to this forum, its a place where people can ask specific questions in relation to that part of the motorcycling sport. People like Johnny and BNA Soldier who are more experts in those areas provide great advice and insight into that style of riding.
I was thinking maybe others could do the same for the people who love the off road side of our sport. There are tons of leagues and events all over Ontario that your average mx rider might not know about, this would give them the opportunity to see whats out there and discuss it with others. Friends helping friends i guess.
I generally ask most of my questions via PM to people like Reciprocity and a few others when it comes to Supermoto or MX and figured if there was a place related to Off Road Riders that more people could not only chime in but benifit from what other have to offer.
Im not sure what is involved in adding an additional fourm to a board but I personally think it would be a great benifit to those whom already ride off road and those whom are looking into it.

I have never had off road insurance for a dirt bike... I also have never had a problem where i ride (Simcoe County Forests) because i stay in the trails and off the streets.
I also spend a lot of time at our track, or other tracks across the province.
I prefer track riding over trail riding but seeing as my backyard backs onto so many trails its often the easy choice for me.

Bastards.... lol.
This used to be 10 minutes outside my front door (on bike) Those were the days.
10's of square kilometers of dirt to play at your own desire.

lol,, I may set something up soon,
I have 50 Acres, 90% of it bush and over the last 8 years I've cut about 5km of trails in the back.
Maybe if Paul sets up a new Section he might get a invite,,,, Bribe,, Bribe,,,,
Just think of the new advertiser base you could go after with a dedicated active dirt section !
I think you missed the point - it's easy to set up a new forum, but if it's only 5 or 6 riders, it's really just more clutter.
You mentioned it's hard to find the one dirt post among all the road posts - but when I look at setting up a new forum, it's because the new topic (dirt or stunting) is cluttering the general discussion forum...I don't see that happening at all. In fact I rarely see any dirt postings.
But - we are willing to give it a try - I'll set it up when I get some time and wait for the crowd to come!..If it flys, we'll keep it... (we did try this years ago, but there was not a good response)
LOL....that hillbilly's got more to worry about from me than I do from him...I grew up in the bush!!
