get well soon, and stay motivated in rehab, do a lot of walking, trust me i had a broken femur too last summer and i walked my "nail & pins" off, helped with strengthening the leg, got me up and moving faster than the therapists expected......so stay motivated and try to be positive! and remember it could always be worse!
take care!

good luck with the recovery Joey
a good law firm i used for my head on in 2006 (other driver 100% at fault w/ careless) was Thomson Rogers and they are the largest personal injury firm in Ontario I believe. The lawyer representing me was able to settle for a highly favourable amount.. I think they took around 25% - very reasonable copnsidering how aggressive they were and how they also helped me when my insurance company started giving me the run-around with respects to my ongoing medical treatments and income loss benefits. Like others have said... only talk to your lawyer and be patient with the healing process.
Good luck on your new bike purchase... and enjoy those guys in turbans giving you rubdowns at Pearson...

Femur is one of the strongest bones, it hurts to break it, I broke mine in 9 places.
Hope you spring back quickly.
...and the view is only going to get better from here..........where are you doing your physio?
anyways stay motivated and the hard work will pay off, from now on you'll appreciate every little step you make, it's simple things like walking that we all take for granted when we're healthy that you really get to appreciate when you don't have them anymore
wish you a speedy recovery
