Rain rain go away!! Hope it clears up for you bro...
I'm pre-reg. so I'll be there, and I'm a wuss in the rain
Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity.
I'm heading there too on Monday...
Can someone confirm that camping will be available Sunday night, or is this pretty much a given at any track day at shannonville?

Yah, its a givin at Shanny, you can swing in there at pretty much any hour of the nite/morn.
BTW, its calling for showers and 13. Not a good day for trackdays.

I'm debating $140 in lost fees vs. $1000 potetial damage if I do something stupid. I'll be there anyways and hope the weather comes around. I think I'll skip the pre-reg. in the future.

I go to trackdays to ride as fast as I can, and have fun. Rain kills both those. I know you save $20-$30 bucks on a trackday with prereg, but it'll only take a couple rainy ones to eat up the savings in a season IMO. Last season was amazing, as it only rained like a couple times all summer I think. But thats not normal.
I still hope the weather changes tho. ,

pro 6 charges an extra $50 for late reg. (1 week prior)
I'm hoping the anomoly that is shannonville will hold up and we'll get sunshine...
by doing what your saying, you are asking others to supplement the cost of track days, either the riders themselves or the people who host them.
Regardless of the weather, the hosts have to pay.
I know 140 bones is tough to swallow, but those are the risks, accept them like you'd accept any other risk by going to the track.
Saying that, i thought i heard about some hosts offering an addditionaly fee for rain insurance. maybe that would be a good alternative? But it would mean more $$.
I'm not griping about the $140 that much, no it's not a small amount but I'm weighing the options. Going out will cost me gas for the tow car, and I have to use a hard to come by vacation day. To do this for a rainy day may not be worth it for me, assuming I don't have a mishap, which I guess could happen any day. If I was a budding racer, I'd make the most of track time and work on wet setups and such.
Either way, you have to assume that organizers have to budget for the occasional rain out and small turn out and be able to take the hit on a small percentage of days. I was in no way angling for a refund as such, I'll just be a little more willing to gamble on an open spot a few days before the date, at a higher cost.
More than anything I'm just bummed about my first day this year being a dreary one.
Actually I was part of a rain out last year at shanny that was made up later in the year. I'm not sure if it was the organizer's savy, or the non stop rain that got shanny to ok this, but I know it was a rarity.

it's a tough pill to swallow, but its part of the deal and i need seat time!!
I'm heading out and will hope for a break in the weather.
Well since every day last week and all next week looks good, and only monday is rainy, maybe 'someone upstairs' is telling us to stay away from Shanny.
Call me Sugar Legs , but I aint goin.

i saw someone on the 407 heading that way.i guess he did not get the email.
For those that pre-registered, and anyone else
interested in going to an upcoming Pro6 day in
the near future, there is good news !
Pro6 emailed me yesterday that due to the weather
conditions the trackday for April.28th was cancelled,
but it has been re-scheduled for this coming Tues.May.6th,
and anyone who did originally register for April.28th will
automatically be pre-registered for the re-scheduled date
for next Tuesday .. Great customer service on Pro6's part ..
Cheers !
