Thumbs up Re: TD / Meloche Monnex

BTW... I was also told that I can get rid of vadalism and i'd come down to $845/yr.

Full coverage also requires an alarm.

    Re: TD / Meloche Monnex

The amount TD Meloche Monnex was Charging me (after my Alumni Discount) for my car alone is about $10 less than what i now pay for my Car with comprehensive and 2mill Liability Coverage, 2004 F4I (full coverage) and Renters Insurance with State Farm...

    Re: TD / Meloche Monnex

Meloche Monnex quoted me after a bit of messing around with the options, $3265/yr with $2000 deduct on specified perils and collision with 1m liability (they are 2nd best quote after Jevco for me). My parents have their house and 2 cars under them and I've been secondary with them for the same amount of time, but that didn't get me anything

TD quoted me $14020/yr for the same things

SV650S'08 at $8600 (sold fairings to lower quote)
    Turning 22 this year
    Male
    GM2 (6 yrs with G and 4 months on M)
    Clean record
    Humber Gearing up program
Young Drivers (but I hear these programs expire after 5 yrs)
UofT St. George (hence why Meloche Monnex would even quote me)

Here's even more quotes lol and yes I pretty much call them twice every week

    Kawasaki Ninja Ex250R '08 (Value $5000)
$2362 Full coverage with $500 deduct
    $2243 with $1000 deduct
$2205 with specified perils and $500 deduct

    Honda CBR125R '08 (Value $4000)
$2107 Full coverage with $500 deduct
    $2001 with $1000 deduct
$1967 with specified perils and $500 deduct

yea...I gave up on anything above 250cc's. Insurance just isn't affordable for me with larger bikes lol.

Gotta retract any earlier comments, my TD Meloche Monnex quotes was the cheapest. Even cheaper than Jevco.

    I'm 26/M/G2M2 (M2 for about 6-7 months)

I was looking for insurance for a Ducati S2R 800 which is an air cooled NAKED with about 77hp (NOT a sport bike).

    Quote from TD/Monnex: over $6000/year (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I went with Rider's Plus for about $2170/year with liability, theft, etc.

well the good thing that they offer in their benefits is they cover for death up to $250,000 and have family protection up to 1 million (or maybe I misheard and I could upgrade to include those). Other than that, they seem to be the same as any other place I've called. I'll call them again next year, but I think I'll go with Jevco for my first year.

Yeah the lady went on this rant about like 24 different incident related things I was covered for. I finally, politely had to tell her to stfu, it was annoying

Meloche was the cheapest for me by $ 300-700 over everyone else I phoned. I am under the alumni program from my wife's college. I have had my auto and home insurance with them for a couple of years and have been very satisfied. I have not had a motorcycle on the road since '03 but all they wanted to give me the best rating was a policy # of the last time I was insured on a bike.

meloche wanted 4800 for my R6, 3400 once taking an approved safety course. They are cheap for cars but I don't think so for bikes. My 04 accord is fully insured for $1300/year
I'm with them as an engineer.

My R6 with statefarm is at 1400.

By Engineer do you mean under the PEO or just Engineer plan. I just got a quote for my 06 Triumph Daytona 675 for $1200 under the Alumni plan (Kingways wants >$3000). I'm also an Engineer but not a PEO (yet...writing the test next week). Just wondering if the Engineer and PEO plans are the same.
