I'll throw a plug in for my A* Tech. I will comment that it needed to be worked in a bit for my liking.

    Re: Back Protector

I love my Dianese back protector.

Very well made and is 10x the product my Teknics back protector was.

Bought it at that bike store in Etobicoke... damned if I can remember the name now. I was expensive... probably could have been cheaper online. Something like $200 with tax.

I remember seeing an article last year comparing back protectors and this one came out on top:

    Good price too...

    Re: Back Protector

I am biased but the best is Knox period! Most coverage and most size choice also. They are also coming out with the most advanced back protector available in the coming weeks!

    Re: Back Protector

No offence Toz, but your opinion is biased You sell them!

I like knox, but I wouldn't call them the best. My bro's is kinda flimsy and easily bends "the wrong way"... My spyke doesn't. The padding is about the same.

I will agree that Knox has a lot of options and model's to chose from.

    As for the armored jackets:
Great for motocross, or for use under suits that have had the armor removed. I have one made by Thor, and I really like it as it is quite comfortable.

Your right I am biased so no worries. By the way Knox have four models of back protector all for different needs. Never heard of any of them being called flimsy before though. Not to be confused with "TOZ" on this board

    Re: Back Protector

I just find they are flexible as sin and can be man handled just by your hands.... Just not confidence inspiring to me. My bro on the other hand loves the one he bought from you. He even loves the chest protector he got for it too. Ane he has much more crash experience than I.

    Re: Back Protector

comfort, looks and price aside, i think u might wanna ask some personal experiences of people crashing with them. i have crashed a few times with the dainese and one of them i ended up doing somersaults down the infield and didn't have any back pain so i guess it did it's job...more importantly than wat you get is that you get one and WEAR IT!
