This one looks nice and I'd still want to have someone trusted to look at it.

Well I don't really wanna spend alot.. I mean the higher I get the more I think its better go to brand new.. Say a new gixxer MSRP is like $12,000 for a 600 I think.. I get a discount from GM for Suzuki so I mean.. You pay less then $3000 more or so.. And you have a brand new bike .. Know what I mean.. But I haven't narrowed out brand new yet.. I might take a look at the dealers. I wish there was a Suzuki dealer in or near Durham..

Yeah I talked to that guy already... He wont come down in price by much.. My buddy just picked one of those up for like $8000 I think with only 1700km on it.. So I sorta look at that bike as being overpriced.. Am I wrong??

    Do the New!
    600 for $9000
    750 for $10000
    1340 for $12000
    I'd go that route!

    Re: Which Bike To Get

Where did you get these numbers... Suzuki Canada site says the following

    600cc - $11,999
    750cc - $12,999
    1000cc - $15,299
    1340cc (Busa) - $15,099

If I get brand new.. I want a Yellow bike.. So I would have to limited my options to the the 600cc as far as the website goes..

I subtracted the $3000 you said you get as a discount.

Ohh sorry what I mean is.. If I buy a used bike (IE that 2007 CBR600RR) for say the $9000... Well if you add another $3000 I can have a brand new bike (thats without a discount)... So I dont know what the discount is.. I think you misunderstood me tho.... I am just point out without a discout a brand new bike is only $3000 more..

But with that being said.. The CBR600RR is alomost new with only just over 1000km on it.. for $9000 (maybe a little less if I can)... But who knows what my discount is I need to call and find out.. Also my buddy just bought that same bike and I don't know how much of a biter I would feel like buying the same bike as him

The best bang for the buck would probably be the zx-6r 7500 for a year old bike isnt bad at this time of season.

    Re: Which Bike To Get

Well.. for now I think I have found my bike.. I love yellow and the gixers look hot.. I think I just found the bike I am willing to spend the cash on.. Now I am going to still call the dealer to find out how much a 2007/08 Gixxer will cost brand new with the GM discount.. But this one looks like its got some money in it.. Like the twin exhuast.. and its got carbon fiber looking stuff so I dunno if tis stock or not.. And it looks like he is a fender elimator thing..

Anywas.. so its a 2007 Gixxer 1000 with an asking price of $10,500.. I don't think I will get that much of a discount if I bought new.. Considerinf this bike is almost a $16,000 bike.. Maybe I can talk this guy down a bit.. Twin carbon fibre yosh pipes. Says its mint.. I am gonna find out more information about it.

    Re: Which Bike To Get

So I just called the dealership for Suzuki....

A brand new GSXR600 with a GM 8% discount and everything would be around $10,000 (plus It think taxes) this is just a rough number since I was asking on the phone.. Before I drive out to New Market..

A Brand new GSXR100 with a GM 8% discount would cost me around I think he said $12,000 I am not sure.. I will have to double check that one but it's alot lower then the $15,000MSRP Suzuki has on the wbedsite..

The dealer he said is the biggest dealer around I think.. Suzuki in New Market.. I am gonna go there next weekend and check out all the numbers and maybe get a better deal who knows.

But as it stands.. I feel maybe this 07 is still a good deal esp if I can bring him down to around $9,500 considering he has it modded and everything.. I mean say I am right the price is $12,000 for a new 1000cc.. Well this guy is asking $10,500 and his slighty modded and if I bring him down in price it would be good..

    What do you all think

    Inusrance Cost

    $100 for 08 GSXR1000 and $98 for 2007 GSXR1000
    $64/month for a 2008 GSXR600

So thats like an extra $400/year for the 1000..

So I mean if youu figure.. I get the guy to lower his priced to say $10,000 well that $500 I saved pays for the extra money in inusrance.. Plus now I am also saving like $2000-3000 on even just the purchase.. And this 07 is still a pretty new bike and its modded..

Do you thnk its worth it?..
