Hey guys and girls
how is the Niagara Parkway run on the Ontario side of Niagara falls ? scenic ? nicely paved ?
probably thinking of doing that run early this summer...starting from Buffalo - cross over to Canada and then all the way to Niagara on the lake..
anyone done that before. New to the area and exploring :P
thanks

Niagara Falls ( Canada ) is BEAUTIFUL ! You WILL love it !!
Parkway is a great run. We do it often. Can be busy during the day and very busy on weekends. If you do it at night it is usually deserted. Watch right now for a stretch by the Whirlpool Golf course as the road is very bad and looks like they are going to do some construction. And watch out for the guys in blue. Have fun.
yep, thats the best way to describe it!
its well worth the ride though. I usually cruise my car there at least 2 times a summer, and will be doing the same with the bike. Its good for a nice sunday afternoon drive/ride.
Watch out at the bottom of the falls though as theres lots of tourists not paying att. to traffic, and the road gets slippery from the mist from the falls.
Sunday afternoons are a good time to do that, as theres uaually a fiar bit of bikes/cars out in the falls later too at night.
riding a moped is like having sex with a fat chick.
sure it may be fun, but you don't want your friends to find out

I grew up on the parkway, Dad had a house close to NOTL across from McFarland park. Best time to ride it would be like the gap, weekday or nighttime.
thanks guys
I am definitely going to do it...I don't mind slow and scenic :P
another question
do you all know of any back roads from Niagara falls to Toronto ?
or from Niagara on the lake to Toronto ?
I did find this map...looks like Jordan street and Ridge road etc are the only good ones...

agreed ? anymore roads?
thanks

Hwy 8./King St. with Pelham/Effingham at the end is a nice ride. But same rules apply as the Niagara Parkway, lots of weekend dawdlers.

Twenty Mile Road on map in previous post is a nice run also. You can cut back to Ridge Road through Smithville (West Lincoln) or take a run down Smithville Road which has a few good corners also.
Effingham is awesome to ride, but wait till mid summer when the corners are clean and free of salt, sand, and any tractors leaving there crap from there tires all over the road.....
I've seen lots of bikes down on some of those corners there, ride careful!
ridge road is nice, been down there a bunch of times too....
all those roads though in the country, watch for animals, and slow traffic/farm equipment

but for tomorrow..they are calling for 64 degree weather
here's the planned run..if I can get outta work for lunch.

want a real interesting ride down the parkway? take the path beside the road. :P
Boys and Girls
I rode it today...three times :P
lol.
rode it once Northbound and then tried to find four mile creek, eventually found it but then apparently took a wrong turn and ended up on 405- Niagara Falls. haha
So then rode the Niagara parkway North again. I had packed my own samich and had that at Niagara on the lake park...chilled for a bit.
Rode it back to the falls.
oh and killed a couple of butterflies at the conservatory (twice)...that little piece of road is so much fun. A park ranger saw me and she smiled and shook her head.
150 miles and 6 hours later I am beat.
pics - nothing new to ya'll, but here they are :P
