Gaoler - You can get that machine in your car ?? Looks to me like you'd need a truck ! Looks like it'd be a hoot to shoot - but at 9 or 10 bucks every time you squeeze the trigger, (if/when you can find .50's) it's a little too rich for me.

    http://www.ontla.on.ca/web/bills/bil...en&BillID=1986

URL to the actual wording of the bill. Have a read. Definitely a son of Bill 203. Looks like Bill 203 is being used as a template for new laws ... even the wording (and penalties) are the same.

Guess 'generics' have been introduced into the lawmaking in Ontario ... figures.

You let them print you for a restricted licence? How long ago was this? I did no such thing for mine... they ran background medical and criminal checks, obviously, but no fingerprints.

    Re: Define Firearm?

another law to protect the criminals and the law abiding citizens once again suffers.

What are the chances of someone intent on using their unlawful firearm to settle scores having a valid driver's license let alone their own car that they didn't steal?

Just like bill 203 targetting "street racers" during rush hours and long weekends instead of those actually racing at night.

We're slowly turning into a province that has to rely on the police to protect us because we can't arm ourselfs against criminals and can't outrun them or we'd get charged with stunting, impoundment and $10,000 fine.

They need to stop writing these confusing laws and get the police to actually enforce laws and walk the streets in their police uniforms instead of sitting in their cruisers all day writing traffic tickets.

Around 1992. It didn't matter anyway, as I'd already been printed for gov't job security checks 7 years before.

I think they should seize your home also.
You never know, you could build a spare car and be back on the roads and that would be very very dangerous, so...yes, seize the house.

The FN Five-seven is a novelty piece as far as I'm concerned.
'Shot the PS90 which fires the same round... Wasn't impressed.

How 'bout we take a lesson from the French....
    Cut off their trigger fingers.
Right there on the side of the road. We'll let 'em keep the digits... but assign some penalty if they get 'em re-attached.

I guess I shouldn't be giving these idiots any ideas.

Considering that this government is getting comfortable with the idea of taking your car for a growing list of 'bad' things you do OR may do, the house may end up being next.

Why would this be considered ammo? I don't see any cops running to Queen's Park asking them to legislate things so that they can deal with this situation. As I said before it seems as if they have all the laws they need to deal with issues such as this.

The cops aren't to blame... its our courts that need an overhaul. The streets will never be safe when we have revolving doors on our prisons.
