    Re: Track bike

This might be a real stupid question, but here goes. I want to put a number on my bike. For track days, does it matter what number you have, and if people have the same number????

depends on the organizer of the trackday and if there is a photographer on-site, they will tell you apart from others based on your number.

Riders Choice will require a number on your bike if I'm not mistaken, that is if you don't already have one on there and someone else hasn't taken it before you.

So lets say there is two people with the same number, would that be a problem?

    maybe.

if the organizer doesn't care about numbering the bikes they let out on the circuit, and there isn't a professional photographer there to capture your time on track, no it won't matter if you had 69 on your bike and your buddy had 69 on his bike. folks might look at you funny, but that's about it.

if you are doing a riders choice trackday, go early and sign up early, that way your number is secured.

just don't go putting #1 on your bike... you're just asking for trouble.

why change your mind, 11 is fine.. depending on the way you do it, it could even look very fancy.

were you going to go for a white background with black or red letters?

To late now, I asked my wife what number I should use, and she told me to put our wedding date LOL .So now I'm stuck. See said thats the only way she will be our pit girl, and get us drinks and food LOL. So I couldn't say no to that So if you see a girl pulling a cooler at the track, SHE'S MINE hehehe. My number is now going to be 148....For January 4th 2008

Haha, Rob, I don't think you caught that one.. Although he does have an 8 in there.. Does that counter act the 4? lol

lol, I doubt the 8 cancels out the 4 in this case, perhaps we can get some input from an 'elder' in the matter. my understanding of the combination isn't a very good outcome.

I bet there are gonna be a lot of weddings August 8 this year.

Are you guys talking about the number 4 being unlucky in Asian culture? If not then that went way over my head.

    Re: Track bike

I think I'm done!!! To bad it looks like it is going to rain on Sunday I wonder how long my shiny rattle can paint job will last, or will I drop it heh? Question, do many people give out pointers to newbes, or am I on my own? I'm a pretty good street rider, but this will be my first time on the track. Oh and if you guys could take a look at the pics, and let me know if you see anything wrong or missed.

    Thanks

    bike looks nice,
youve done some good mods, maybe a stomp grip, and take off the chain guard if you like.

I was actually wonder about the chain guard. I thought that it might have to be on, and I didn't really want it there. I'll take it off

    Thanks
