You know what would give sympathy.. if we get charged under Bill 203 for racing.. that might make society question how 20km/h is racing.

However, I have a feeling no one will show up except a select few because people have responsibilities, they have families, jobs, they can't risk getting fined or charged or thrown into jail for protesting you know?

It's tough.. that's why I don't think many people will show up for the 20km/h event.

So someone grab the bull by the horn, post a date and route and meeting place.
One lap of the city. DVP, Gardiner, 427 and 401. I'd be in for a nice slow ride.

I think 20km/h is out of the question.. but something more reasonable like say 80km/h or even 90km/h because going 10 under we can't get in trouble for nothing.. at least I don't think.. Rob??

I agree 20 is too low!
Truckers and taxis have held rolling protest around here so we just have to see what the penalties were for anyone charged.

I know two close friends that are apart of Sikh Activist Network, one of them is a lawyer, so I'm going to run this by him and get his support too on the proper way of doing this.

That's really quite sad.. people want change but don't want to get up and fight for it.. I guess you can't really blame the government if we allow them to get away with it right?

20 km/h is dangerous and will cause major problems. I agree with 80km/h since at least people will get where they want to go and a point will still be made.

I wonder if the destination would make a difference on the turn out.
I personally don't want to end up at Queens Park.
The Docks, now Sound Academy or something, or pick a street like Queen or King and grab up all available parking! Something like that anyways!
It would seem more appealing as a ride and meet rather than a "protest".

France is the way it is because the people aren't scared to revolt but they need backbones for that.. something a lot of people in Ontario don't have.. sadly
I'm still laughing at the words France and backbone being in the same sentence. What history class did you take ?

If you do a protest at Queens Park then call ahead to get the appropriate forms, and fill them out. Been there. Done that.

that has been done. It was the time when we complain about the insurance raise. I think there are only 2 dozen bikers show up....

If you try to do that again try to pick a weekend so most people can't complain about that they have to work...

    not so

    No to Queens Park!
Here is my suggestion foe what it's worth.
Start on cherry st. Pretty good place to meet a lot of bikes!
Dvp, 401, 427 Gardiner. Then people take different exits starting at the Lakeshore exit all the way to the Jarvis exit. Fills the city with bikes!
    Just need a detination.

Outside. We lined up in the front lot, when they were arranging for a press conference, and were booted out. We were informed of what papers had to be submitted at the time.
