I can't tell you why anyone would say different but State Farm quotes a yearly rate and then shuffles money around to even the payments. In theory, other companies could charge you different rates per month and then the winter rate would pretty much be the same as a park rate but instead they ask for the whole year up front.

There is a better explanation pinned on the front page of Insurance Here

Thumbs up Re: Seamus Kelly (State Farm) Insurance

Cara Miller from Seamus' office offered prompt and cordial service - she was truly a pleasure to deal with. And the hassle-free setup was an added bonus.

If you ask for a quote through one State Farm agent, will another SF agent work with you after that? Or would they not take you on and tell you to go back to the first agent?

    Thanks!

I did this... 2nd agent said it would be the same quote as 1st agent because SF uses same system to generate quotes. Second agent dealt with way more motorcycle insurance and ended up quoting me $300 less. I went with agent #2. Even though they tell you it’s the same it pays to shop around within SF or go with one that handles plenty of motorcycle insurance.

Are you still with the second agent? Do you remember the name?
