Alright, I don't mean to step on anyone's toes here, but there seems to be a lot of talk about this ride from last year so I thought somebody should create a thread where we can get this year's ride sorted out. I will be the first to say I was not there last year and I don't know where it was, or who organized it. What I do know is that we can get started organizing here.

Ok people, come out of the woodwork Who can fill in the missing information re: last year, and ideas for this year? Who ran it last year?

I wasn't there last year but if you search for it you can find a thread from it, pretty long thread. Romey I believe got it together near sq1. If you go towards the end of the thread some ppl put up pics of it.

It was last year's event and some members didn't figure out it causing great confusion. If someone has a solid idea about where this years event should be held then post up.

Aye, I noticed the thread had been deleted. So now that we've settled that (on the first page of this one ) we can get on with business as usual!

So Romey organized it last year, and it was somewhere near Square One in The Miss. Anybody know if Romey is active on the boards right now? Is he interested in organizing it again this year?

Perhaps those that attended previous Spring-Bling's could share what happened at those events and what they think would be nice to see at this event?

This way, those that are up to the challenge of planning the meet can know what's expected.

Just a suggestion but the Jack Astors at Scarb. Town Centre is large enough to accommodate everyone plus it's right off the highway. Last year it was held in the West, what about hosting in the east this year??

Speeeeking of the east side. There is a place, in Scarb called Kennedy Commons. Right off the Kennedy offramp from the 401. There is a restaurant called cafe mirage.

I'm not sure they would be thrilled with having their night burned, but the lot at this place is big enough that we'd probably not have a hard time carving out a parking space. Just my 2c

I really don't care where its at. East is actually cool. Longer ride to the meet. Only thing is I know the security staff over at Sqaure 1, so we wouldn't be hassled by them. Woodbridge would be more central for everyone...

Bump for the East/ KC would be a great location, But if you would consider a central location it would be Yorkdale but that's my 2cents.

I agree with SteveT though...let's goto a plaza-type bar so that we've got all the parking we need without any parking enforcement issues this time...

Requirements for a Spring Bling location:

1. Close to a major highway like 401, DVP, 400, QEW

2. Large parking lot.

3. Restaurant with outdoor patio.

4. No hassles from the fuzz.

I agree that Central would be alot better..Plus Woodbridge has a few large parking lots and U can access it via Hwy 7 & Steeles..I sure newbies would like to come and a few aren't confortable taking the 400 series HWY. Any good outdoor patio spots in Woodbridge?
