Mine went up $185 for the year....... noo idea.....

Just got my annual renewal for the Vstrom and it was down 18% from last year.
So, it must be attributed to the fact that I'm one more year older and wiser and the bike's value has depreciated more.
Anyway, all good news
One bike isn't enough.
Mine went up $185 for the year....... noo idea.....
Dem man nah realize de way I do de technology way don't I identify dey oola dem idiot sound bwoy already ya nah rude bwoy
Yep, Mine dropped over $100.
Mine went up $200 a year because of a glitch in the computer that told them my '94 EX500 was not a sports bike (which it isn't). Now it is so I have to pony up more money?
mine went up $240 from last year, and that also figures in my turning 25 plus a 7% discount for a renewel. i asked why the increase and he said it wasnt my bike (i ride a 500) it wasnt my record (its clean, not even a speeding ticket) but that it was my location. apparently there has been an increase in claims in my region and because of that rates are going up. so i am effectively paying more because other people cant drive; i told him im going to shop around. I also told him that i was expecting a sustantial drop in rates b/c of my 25th coming in april, but he told me that has little if any effect on motorcycles.
i believe that my neons make me go faster.....
That's what they told me.
They told me that when I renewed in 2008, I would be pro-rated at 25 so I got the discount early.
After calling and finding out they weren't going to do that, I asked what kind of discount could I expect when I turn 25.
So you got a discount before turning 25? I turn 25 in August and my insurance is up in May, when I asked my broker he said I wouldn't get a discount because I would still be 24 in May...is that not the case or does it vary by insurer?
Just got my Primmum renewal today. They reclassified my bike and gave me a retroactive rebate for last year, and this year my rate is down a good 25%! I'm very happy.
Now, I've said this before in other posts, and will say it again. Primmum was never the "cheapest" of all the insurance I have researched (for both bikes and cars), but now, given this reclassification, they are extremely competitive (the differences now are nothing to quibble about anymore). And, what really makes it worthwhile, to me anyways, is the fact that I had a claim a few years ago (with my car) and their claims handling was second to none!
my insurance company told me I was the most handsome person in the world
