Insureance on a 2003 Honda Shadow ACE 750...

Hello all, recently my father passed away and I was under him for my bikes insurance (he had 40+ years riding experience).

    Anyways to the point, I'm:

    -21 Years Old
-M2 License since 2003, M License since August
-Certificates from safety courses for both licenses from Humber College

The bike has a Scorpio Alarm with all the toys.

I was wondering if anyone could advise me as to approximately how much I SHOULD be paying and which companies are good to talk too? I saw the sticky list but it's a bit confusing.

I was with Primmum under my dad but they seem very pricey when it comes to younger riders.

Best way to get accurate pricing is to call an insurance broker.

I've been using John Duffy Insurance Brokers and have been very satisfied with their service. Brian Duffy or one of his licensed insurance agents should be able to provide you with a quote over the phone.

Their company contact is listed in that sticky you were looking at.

    Hope this helps.

My dad passed away when I was 20.
Our family had been with State Farm for about 30 years at the time - I was lucky that my rates didn't change.
When I turned 24 I bought a Blackbird (CBR 1100XX)and since I already had another bike insured with them they gave me insurance on it as if I was 25 years old.
It was only $840 for full coverage!!!
The rates on it have crept up over the years, it is now about $1000 for full coverage.

Why not try insuring with the existing policy if you find the rate you were getting was acceptable?

    my condolonces to your loss
